*Disclaimer the PTR has always been full of uncertainty as it doesn't accurately represent the restrictions that will be placed on F2Ps as characters on the PTR aren't treated as trial accounts. Please keep this in mind.

Seriously, this is just speculation based on what is accessible at our level cap. None of this is for sure due to F2P restrictions on retail.

That being said, I figured with all the stuff being grandfathered we could use some good news! This thread is a work in progress for sure. Please post anything I am missing.

I checked all three. Hardened Shell requires level 30. Salt Hardened Shell is dropped by a mob out of our level range. Net-O-Matic requires level 17.

Looks like Avast Ye, Admiral! and it's title "Bloodsail Admiral" are both ungrandfathered! I haven't tested it for sure on the PTR due to my rep with goblins not meeting the hated requirement but Wowhead says level 10 and it would fit with everything else I've seen so far. Also, I was able to get
Buccaneer's Uniform.

Edit: Also added Broot and Nightmare Lasher. Can't confirm the drops yet but we are able to research the class hall advancement and unlock the plots of soil. It takes 3 days to loot them though but it seems possible.

Big sad.

Finally was able to complete the Battle for Azeroth intro quests, it was previously bugged. It seems we won't have access to Island Expeditions. This would make sense with us not getting the Heart of Azeroth. I will add a note to those items and/or remove them entirely but for now I think I'll strikethrough them or something.

More sad.

Draenor garrisons, as they are now are almost completely gated behind F2P goldcap, assuming we have the same restrictions once the patch hits. Literally can't even unlock the first follower.

I think I remember someone saying you can have someone else who has unlocked island expedition queue for island while you are grouped (without you unlocking island and the queue just checks for your level)

so don't give up yet

Ahh okay. I will try that right now :eek:

Edit: Yep, I was able to queue. I wasn't able to get a pop and unfortunately the PTR counts both my linked P2P accounts as one so I don't have access to three accounts to force a pop.

Looted with the same level of mining F2Ps have on live so no Pandaria mining. The nodes seem rather uncommon and eitherway it's still going to be a grind.
