Hello Dears,

'Tis an announcement thread concerning the various new features that've been implemented in the past few days just in case you haven't noticed them yet! Without any further ado:
*OP ribbon - A small indicator to who's a thread's OP when they're replying!

*Discord integration - You can now sign in using Discord, and link your accounts if you wish to do so!


*Signature image uploads - You can now upload your picture to be used in the signature to have it hosted locally. While at it, we disabled remote images for signatures. If you wish to continue having an image in your signature, please make use of that feature.

*Thread count display - The dashboard will now show you the amounts of threads you and others've created. Yay!

*New Infobox features - Thread count, View all Posts-link, View all Threads started-link!

*Animated gif avatars - Yes, you heard us right. However, this is not yet available to the general public (and likely never will, however select usergroups like Donators may be allowed to use gif avatars sometimes) as there's a certain abuse potential.


*New notifications: In case you haven't noticed, there's some new notification banners flying around!

Update: After hours of tedious setups and configurations, the Discord Integration with the website is now fully functional. Here is a list of all the features included in this integration:

• Allows for XPOff user groups to be synced with Discord server roles. Essentially this allows us to automate the giving and removing of Discord server roles based on the groups that a XPoff user is part of. Users can associate their Discord identities with their XPoff usernames to establish a sync.
• Allows users to register and sign up via Discord.
  
• Automatically posts links to threads from XPoff forums to the defined Discord channels as soon as they are posted. The user who posted the thread, the thread title and a link to the thread are included in the message.
• Allows users to receive watch notifications from forums and threads they specify (in addition to emails and alerts). They will receive these notifications privately from the XPOff bot. There are plans for future expansion with 1-to-1 communication with the bot.
• Widgets for the Widget Framework. These are still a work in progress and your input is encouraged.

To link your Discord account with your XPOff account, visit this link. We will be implementing a feature on the site that will make this easier in the future.

If you have not yet joined the official XPOff Discord server, I encourage you to do so.

A few more updates...

Missing icons: Messages, Likes Received, and Trophy Points now have accompanying icons in threads in the user info box.

Spoilers: No longer shows "Spoiler:" when providing a custom named spoiler.

Online sidebar: Staff online now shows avatar, name, and custom title. Members online now has been reverted to it's original state (shows names instead of avatars). This was something experimental, just wanted to see if people would like the change or not. Apparently they did not. :/

GIF avatars: This has been temporarily disabled until we work out some image scaling bugs. We'll have them working again soon, however they will still be unavailable to the general user-base. Well provide more info on this when the time comes.

We have many more features and upgrades on the way! If you have any suggestions or ideas, let us know.

Don't forget about the Discord Integration! It really is a very complex and wonderful feature.
