Lock at 50 or 51?

Locking at 50 will help with stat scaling, but level 51 unlocks some good class defining talents. What works out to be better?

I've got a couple 50s that seem pretty good, haven't tried 51...I'm sure it would depend on your class/build. Since most 50s use mythic nya gear it would have to be a pretty good talent to make up for all of the gear being at a lower ilvl compared to your level. It's hard to say exactly since most sims don't work well on lower level characters.

If you hurry with a 51 you could potentially gear all of the non-azerite slots with anniversary boss drops to maintain the higher ilvl. You might be running out of time for that tho.

Another thing to keep in mind is that if they ever update the ilvl of Ashjra'kamas the proc doesn't work above lvl 50.

I will make a 51 and a 50 of the same class and see how I get on. 51 is likely worse in normal situations, but unlocks some great burst potential (MM Hunter and Trueshot Aura)

Check the azerite traits for the lvl 51 talent .I know i ( rogue) get shrouded suffocation from azerite gear without having to lvl to 51
