EU+US LF best place to farm new BiS world drop blues.

So it's confirmed that lvl 20's can get blue BoE world drops to be +8 lvls
Which makes loads of new BiS gear for every class, However what would be the best way to farm it?

Atm the only piece that i need for BiS is a Blue Cloak.. and i've been doing tons of Stockade runs but no luck so far..

What do you guys think would be the best place to farm for it?

also would Anyone would be interested to farm together for some new BiS? :)

I'm trying to get this asap since with the stat/ilvl squish in BfA etc.. i'm scared they are gonna mess it up again make these ilvl 27/28 for 19s and 20s GF'd.

Do you have any proof that boe blues can be +8? Not saying you are lying, but i have had a decent number of boe blues drop- all were +6.
 
On PTR, I saw someone get an ilvl 28 FotL, and others are claiming Gnomer has good drops.

It's not necessarily that they were +8, but that they don't scale properly and there's different templates. So before the site drama, someone posted a firebane cloak that was level 20 and ilvl 28. If you look on wowhead you can see there's like 10 diff firebane cloaks. They are ilvl 18, 23, 28, 33, 38, etc. So the level 20 versions happens to be +8, but I think a level 21 version would also be ilvl 28. This applys to all BoE world drops AFAIK.

I don't know what the 19 version would be. It's either 28 and BiS or 23 and useless for ipvp.




As to farming them...they don't scale when looted from chests. So you just need to kill mobs on your 19 and hope for the best. Probably in SFK or something to have a chance at those BoEs as well.
 
The thing that I hate about all of this is that these numbers are so random and nobody knows what exactly is the way to farm these... Would take years at this rate to get a good idea what and where to farm. I hate knowing this gear is out there yet I may never see one pop up on my server or drop for me.
 
Most efficient would just be farming SFK i believe, yes.

On my 19 i have looted foremans gloves and legs, and 4 petrified shinbones. All were ilvl 25. These obviously were in open world, and idk if that changes anything. If someone has a screenshot on live of anything rare higher than +6, ill start farming. Until then though, i dont want to be farming and obtaining +6 rares with the idea that its possible to be +8

i have not considered the possibility of item scaling having breakpoints
i just though it may be a flat formula applied across the board

unless of course the way wowhead lists all that shit is just text diarrhea

It may just be a quirk of wowhead...we def need more data. It doesn't look like they are following the usual scaling that dungeon blues are using. But basically every instance of these world BoE rares that I've seen has fit with what wowhead has. Its just going to be a matter of time until some 19 versions drop and we can really see if there are some new BiS items.

i just now realized im in 10-19 forums
i only have 20s
as i am pure f2p

there was someone else saying that @ lvl 29 +8 is impossible
that +6 is highest you can get
+8 only applies below character lvl 29
but i failed to see their rational

seeing as how u guys are talking about 19s
his hypothesis might be relevant to you guys too
it is kind of interesting that the +8s we have seen have mostly been for lvl 20s or like 22s or something

There is no rational for it because its a stupid update and makes no sense, but plus 8 only applies as long as the item level doesnt exceed 35 (for 20-29).
 
This is for items under level 60 using the current scaling mechanics.

You may also see items with stats and required levels that are not using the scaling mechanics/are still dropping at their old levels, particularly from chests and possibly some dungeons.


World Drop BoE Weapon epics can only drop at required levels ending with 3 and 8 and will be +13 ilevels over the required level.

For example, an axe might drop at a required level of 33, 38, 43, 48 and would have ilevels of 46, 51, 56, 61 respectively.

World Drop BoE Armor epics can only drop at required levels ending in 2 and 7 and will be +13 ilevels over the required level.

Instance/Mob Specific epics will drop at the player's current level as the required level and will be +12 ilevels over the required level.

World Drop BoE Weapon blues can only drop at required levels ending in 2 or 7 and will be +8 ilevels over the required level. (Max ilvl 25 @ level 19)

World Drop BoE Armor blues can only drop at required levels ending with 0 and 5 and will be +8 ilevels over the required level. (Max ilvl 23 @ level 19)

Instance/Mob Specific blues will drop at the player's current level as the required level and will be +6 ilevels over the required level. (Max ilvl 25 @ level 19)

(Also keep in mind that there are likely minimum required levels for certain drops.)
