This guide is primarily ALLIANCE based. I will make Horde guides if requested.

This first video guide is on the fastest (in my opinion) way to get level 19 on a fresh toon. Subscribe to my channel if you enjoyed this video, and feel free to leave a comment if you so please.

great vid. a while ago i tried to level via server hopping and killing / farming rare mobs. was surprised at how dang ineffective that method was.

Depends on race but usually goes like this:

Level 1-10: Kill mobs in your starting area (e.g. the elementals in Tauren zone)
Level 11-15: Solo ragefire chasm.
Level 16-19: Queue random dungeons for a few chances at getting the right belt.
