im glad we could all agree that twinks < end game in terms of skill. which is what I was arguing in the first place. good job everyone for having a productive conversation! next week we attempt to answer the question: "is the earth really flat?".
Agreed...
Before we can determine if End game requires more "skill" than low level. One must determine what "skill" really means.
Now, I am not going to look "skill" up. I am going to use my "skill" of recollection to explain to you all what it indeed is. Skill is not a some talent given to you at birth.
Skill is a
learned ability. And just like all abilities they can get better with practice. It is nothing special. I repeat.. SKILL IS NOTHING SPECIAL.
Now that we all know what "skill" is, we can now discuss the difference between lowbies and endgames.
Take for instance...
With three or so numbers(abilities). It is easy to master those three number sequences. Thus giving time to concentrate on other matters.
Not so easy to master twenty or more numbers(abilities).
That is not to degrade the fact that playing lowbies are fun. That is really all they are, fun. Sure, just like anything else in life it can be taken to the extreme but lowbies will never be as good as endgame, as much as you all want them to be. Just as go-carts will never be NASCAR. They both take the same skill set, but one takes a hell of lot more “skill”.
/cheers
P.S. As a note... I can't dispel on my 19 resto shaman and I only have two heals, no interrupts and no slows. At end game I have ~ten heals, two dispels and two slows and an interrupt. Notice the difference? One is much easier to play than the other. Yet, I still have plenty of fun on my 19 when I play it. Because, that is exactly why I play video games.
