Posting armoury just because I have some examples of the gear I'm listing below.
I mostly wanted to make this thread to just post a few things some people might not be aware of, since there's obviously lots of new gearing options and not a lot of information around about it.

- If you don't have any socketed rings/neck, Legion JC offers an ilvl 28 ring/neck of any secondary stat you prefer, (at 6 stam, 11/15 secondaries) It also offers a mastery (main) secondary epic ring (which means 6 stam, 18 mastery/7 preferred secondary). The other rings are unavailable as the rest of the quest chain requires level 45.
These are great until you a BFA socketed ring drops for you.

Sidenote: The epic ring has Obliterum levels. They don't do anything. If you're after Blood of Sargeras, I found skinning at Nesingwary's camp at Highmountain to be a great spot. Boon of the Bloodhunter (the Warden shoulder rep enchant) also works. Get it on BOA shoulders. There's posts on Wowhead this patch saying it doesn't, trust me, it does, it's just a very rare drop. I got my 20 blood in about 3 hours, from skinning and 3 Bloodhunter quarry things.
- Keep an eye out for green cloaks/bracers on AH. You can get ones with sockets that are better than anything else available. (typically 5 main stat, 7 stam, 10/11 varying secondary stats + socket).
The AH is super scuffed at the moment though. There's tons of items, and the 'stock' item shown will not display if it has tertiary stats or a socket, you have to individually check each item in the amount listing.
There's green stat-stick trinkets that are also very good if you find a socketed version, same deal as above. 9 main stat, 13 secondary.
- For engineering - Ghost iron Dragonling (MoP eng) is an amazing trinket both in terms of damage and stats. 3 cogwheel gems and the dragonling proc itself does a good amount of damage. The little sucker also has 4k hp. Also if you favour haste, there's 2 separate haste cogwheel gems, quick and precise (old hit), you can use both.

There's also the MoP eng helm which is +6 main stat, +11 stam, meta and 2 cogwheel sockets with a socket bonus of +3 main stat. Keep in mind the cogwheels used in your dragonling count as your 1x unique limit towards your helm as well.

- TBC/Wrath JC - Northrend JC has some 2 socket trinkets of varying use. They're not amazing but if sockets really matter to you, they're there.
The TBC JC trinkets offer some pretty good stats and the procs are more important than first seems. The way scaling/player power seems to work, the 31SP from Crinsom Serpent transales to about +200 healing.

- Also with TBC JC. https://www.wowhead.com/item=24110/living-ruby-pendant
This works in bgs/dungeons. It procs every second for that amount, even at 100% hp. The proc amount is affected by vers (mine currently shows 89hps).
It's broken as hell, have fun.
- You can use ring enchants, the 'binding of (secondary)' blue enchants apply +2 secondary. Neck enchants also work for those without a HoA. Hidden Satyr does decent damage for our bracket.
- The BOA island gear comes out at ilvl 32/34 for 27/29. It can upgrade rarity but doesn't change the stats at all, and from the 20 or so I've tried, can't proc sockets or tertiary stats.
- BFA quest gear can upgrade in rarity and stats, but also as far as I'm aware, not sockets or tertiary stats. I've never seen anything higher than blues with ilvl 34 as a 29. Epic upgrade may exist.
- There's a few set items that don't have legacy applied to them. They most likely still don't work. From what I can tell, only the Whitemend/Spellfire bonuses work. I've tried the Raine's bonus and it does not apply the intellect (shows 18 on live).

I think that's about it so far from what I've been playing of the last week. I'm sure other people have other things to post or can clarify on a few of the things I've posted.
