Is twinking viable in bfa and in the next coming patch?

I know that before, in bgs all player's gear stats were modified so they would all be similar, giving a chance to those with lower gear to beat the ones with higher lvl gear. I want to make a resto shaman at lvl 39 twink. Would that be viable in bgs?

Gear matters again and yes, 39 resto shaman is extremely strong

Just roll another character. Not a real big deal. The game is very alt friendly now.
