US Wsg Strategies

Psilocybine

Legend
1- Hold mid. The most common, to stay as a group, push towards the enemy graveyard and not let any enemy players pass. A druid /healer combo runs flag independently.

2- Cleave. The whole team goes for the flag. Then as a group heads straight to the efc.

3- Defensive. 2-3 players stay in flagroom to slow efc the rest of the team prevents players from entering the base. A stealth player or dps runs flag with little assistance

4- turtle. The whole team stays in flagroom.

5- relay. To have non tank flag carriers stack and stay near each other to repick the flag as it is dropped.

6- speed potting. To have druids run the flag with any speed buff possible and simply out run/out maneuver the enemy

7- fotm/godmode. To be able to grab the flag, solo heal and walk it back with no assistance.

8- tank and spank. A tank flag carrier with pocket heals that fights enemies they encounter.

9-terrain/ map exploit. To grab the flag and use a method to obscure the flag carrier from being targeted or reached.

10- gy farming. To not let the enemy team leave the gy area. Any player runs the flag eventually.

Personally i used to love the relay tactic. (when rogues were op). I seen 10+ repicks in a row. It's definitely not perfect but it's fun when it works.

Btw these are the brief descriptions not directions for each strategy.

Solid strats. Constantly technical development like this is what keeps this bracket great. Pushing the limits of what we are cable of such as strat 6 with the speed pots shows just how far we have come in a matter of years and how far we are willing to go to reach the peak of what we are capable of. These strats and others are what separates the good players from the excellent players. I look forward to seeing more teams utilize these strategies to further advance this already competitive bracket.

the fact you think you're good enough to tell other people wsg strats makes me wnna choke you

you forgot the warlords of warsong strat it always works
[doublepost=1518806077,1518806012][/doublepost]just be in warlords and you are a god

Haha Warlords actually uses Strat 1 in PuGs with the rule of No GY Camping, to keep ques quick and for more overall fun!

My counter strat is hide in stealth and picnic.

Forgot the /afk after the first cap from the opposing team strat.
Those people don’t even realize the game is still essentially tied at that point.

if we gonna be really real and not try to impress people on TI, then heres my all time fav strat

me personally i like to jerk off in mid and push gy and get top hks and then when i get 3 capped i reque

Generally this is what the mid setup should be, obviously it with fluctuate from time to time but the basic concept is this:

Couple hints:

If you start losing mid pressence dont just B-Line it back into your healers. Try to fall back slowly allowing them to get into better positions.

Try to move towards objectives, sometimes it may seem like the other team is blocking you but you need to push towards them and take ground, don't just give it away because they were there first.

The FC doesnt always have to be directly behind the healers, if there is LoS and you are aware of what is going on, use it.

To all players and especially melee:

Don't

Always

F--king

Overextend (for long periods of time)

You put your healers is the worst possible spot by playing greedy all the time and usually throw away the advantage in mid.

The only good WSG strategy is to hold mid and have 1 or 2 cap flag. If they have D you can have the zerg move there and wipe them and get back to mid. But holding mid is probably really on the good strategy in PUGs
