Yes it does, because ANYONE who Twinks in a video Game knows damn well that a Website dedicate to the art of Twinking would have NOTHING to do with the other usage of the same word. By making his comment he is in fact showing that he has some issue with the LGBT Community because he "doesn't want to be associated with gays" by coming to TI and now he's relieved that it's XPOff instead.

EDIT: We spent a few months back on TI with all number of idiots showing their Homophobia about us being called Twinks, which is what we are, there is no reason whatsoever to bring that shit back up again.

If someone isn't gay, then how is it so reprehensible that they don't want to be associated with them? I'm not Canadian, so I don't want to be associated with them. Does this make me a nationalist? Same thing with muslims. Am I now an islamophobe?
 
I just think OP though he was the first person to figure out twink hade another usage and wanted to tell us that's why there is a link included.

Not sure if you just found out there was a separate term and decided to make a topic. Anyways, ye I like the new name more not just because of the "homophobia" apparently by DeLindsay I guess that would be associated with that but xpoff sounds better as a forum name for people who have their xp off, ya know. And as said before, not wanted to be associated into a grouping with people you are not similar to isn't a "phobia" of said group, it's just not wanting to be slumped into.
 
Feel like this is the right place to post this comment .. So .. For years I've always wondered why we called ourselves twinks. Literally just now took the time to research the questions and well ... Turns out it was all due to the internets immaturity (No surprise) that gave us this name. Apparently the origin of the name was, "Tweak" meaning you tweaked out your character to the max. Eventually turning into, "Twink". You learn something new every day ... u.u

You newbs still do not understand that what we do has everything to do with this gay slang and a sugar daddy? Start the research boys!

This whole gay slang twink has to do with a young age gay person (low level player) without expensive stuff to show off with and gets those from a sugar daddy (like how we give enchants, looms and what not more to our low level characters). We are forever bound to the gay slang if you like it or not. No change of name will ever change that!

I'm gonna be honest, I never thought of it in that way and I can't say you're wrong (from that perspective). Still, the Homophobic garbage that we dealt with on TI for a few months needs to stay buried and not brought here.
