I followed this guide partially but was too lazy to level more than 1 pet since I was getting the bop quest items and turned in a wsg quest haha, so I chose the wind serpent and I swear I’m the only twink with it

guys, can you still put a +7 scope on bows at 19 with help from a 60? i cant seem to put it on my venomstrike.. is the max 3?

Max is +3 at 19.

Is it just an ilvl thing? You can put a +7 on the master hunter weapons from STV, but they're like ilvl 43 or something.

edit- and that's at 29, just the next bracket.

It is has a combo criteria. Needs 40+ ilvl item and a level 40 character to apply it, so yeah, pretty goofy.

Yeah, the character level thing is right on the scopes but the ilvl requirement isn't explained. But 29s can do +7 via trade window so it's just ilvl based, right? Is the +5 scope like ilvl 25+? And +7 is 35+...? Something like that?

I haven't tried another, so is it just the master hunter weapons that take the +7 in the 29 bracket? Due to 43 ilvl?

edit- can https://classic.wowhead.com/item=3742/bow-of-plunder take a +5 scope? Or is it like ilvl 30+ requirement for +5 scope?

I think it's 20 and 40 req tbh.

Blurz might be referring to the fact that 19 hunter pets are easily killed no matter the hunter's pet control and all the effort put into min/maxing pets for something that can flop in 5 seconds probably isn't worth it.

The Blurz I know is a nice guy.

i saw this guide when you posted originally and thought it was cool
i'm making a hunter now and i find this very helpful <3
others have a fair point about pets dying quickly but there's definitely no disadvantage to maximizing your hunter pets potential
