How to farm timewalking instances

Many folks already know the 'logout trick' where you can logout for 30+ minutes inside a timewalking instance in order to reset it. However, most do not know that after the initial reset you can use a second account to reset all instances without waiting the 30+ minutes.

Here's how it works:
1) Queue for timewalking
2) Clear the instance
3) Log out inside the instance
4) Wait 10+ minutes
5) Log back in to fresh instance
6) Invite 2nd account and pass lead
7) Clear the instance
8) Log out inside the instance
9) Reset all instances on 2nd account
10) Log back in to fresh instance
11) Repeat steps 7-10.

Enjoy! ;)

Im about to try this. If it works, I wonder if they will ban us lol

Resetting instances this way with 2nd character will eat 2 resets.
Instead of 10 per hour you get 5 on character that does the log out.

System loads you in to your own instance and then in to party leaders.
30% chance it will fail miserably and you end up in westfall gy.

Does not worth it in long run.
Do it normally and while you suffer here have this as your soundtrack.

If you follow the steps I posted it works every time. Make sure not to reset until players inside the instance are logged out. If you mess it up just reform the party. Pretty sure the limit is 10 per hour, and if you login after cap you get ported to your hearth location. I recommend NovaInstanceTracker for keeping track of lockouts.

Here’s what I did that doesn’t make you wait ten minutes..

-finish dungeon and wait until your group leaves
-invite twink from high level toon outside dungeon and in different zone
-make the twink leader of group
-logout of twink
-wait a couple minutes until it automatically makes the high level toon leader
-reset dungeon
-login twink and farm

I just did this so can confirm it works.

Whats the point in farming it in TW vs not TW? badges? easier to just que and run

Sure, but the purpose of this post is so you can farm the gear you need instead of rolling through dungeon after dungeon hoping it drops
Yeah, I actually did it with a friend while leveling one of his alts. What I found was you dont get the celebration tokens or extra bonus xp for completing a "random" timewalking dungeon. But it is a good way to farm rivendare mount.

Beware that mount drops are soulbound and require lvl 17 to learn, so you might end up finding it on a twink without being able to learn it until you level to 17. You can always trade them to eligible party members and make someone happy :).
Had this happen for Barron mount as well as the ostrich in the Magister terrace TW.

I know that. But they are tradeable in party as you said. And you can easily build another twink. I can build these things in less than a hour. My first twink is now a 29 twink because I got timereaver drop. Still farmable in this way if you have 2 accounts, or friends that need it.

This might be common knowledge (although I haven’t seen it mentioned before), but I’ll put it here anyway: When a TW-week ends you can actually continue farming a TW-dungeon from that expired TW-week after it has ended.

You just need to log out inside a TW-dungeon before the TW-week ends. Afterwards, when the TW-week has ended, you will be able to log in inside that “expired” TW-dungeon where your toon logged out and still farm it in TW-mode. Right now, I’m repeatedly farming Dire Maul on my lvl 10 pala even though the Classic TW-week ended yesterday (in EU).

In other words: If there’s an item you need badly and you didn’t manage to get it to drop before the TW-week expires you can just log out inside that particular TW-dungeon before the TW-week ends, and you should be good to go ;)

Thx, that's news to me, how long does this session last, or does it mean we can park chars in EVERY TW dungeon this way ?

BTW, I just remember that I had accidentally login into DMF area after event ends a few times, is it the same mechanism ?
