Seems like a good turret spec and those guaranteed chain lightning crits are great. Makes it really easy to just grab bezerker and know you are going to destroy something. But they don't have any cc besides frost shock slows and if melee stick on them they probably have a bad time.

It's a bit different at 60 with them speccing down to nature swiftness and throwing out their instant chain lightnings. Shaman is fun in 49 I'd say cause you get to blow something up with windfury procs or elemental mastery crits.

I'm fairly convinced of this as well. They are one of the few classes you can play alongside and confidently leave targets at less than half health knowing they will still get blown up.

I think the clincher is their extreme range on top of high crit and lower cast time. It's an incredibly potent combo.

I have a sham at 49 that I play as both Enh and as Ele. Ele is extremely good. They can and do blow things up. You can spell batch Lightning Bolt, and Chain Lightning together due to LB travel time and then Earth Shock on GCD. I've crit over 1,500 dmg with a CL without zerker, Power Infusion, or Stormstrike buff. If you had all 3 of those it would have been 60% more = 900 dmg. So add in a 500-600 LB, and 500 Earth shock and you've hit minimally 2,500 dmg in the matter of seconds. Ele and enh both feel a little mana dependent. 1h wf isn't really enough as ele to do much unless someone is already pretty low. 1v1 I faired really well against melee, even without having to get a hard cast off. Totems, lightning shield, and earth shock alone do quite a bit of dmg. The lack of cc is noticed, but if you have engineering it helps a lot. I have guides posted in my guild discord under resources. You can find the link in my signature. Hopefully my experience helps your decision to pull the trigger, and if you have any further questions feel free to hit me up anytime!
