how do we farm ooze now

    • had a player ask my 10 druid, who recently got a i56 one during shadowlans TW running LFD. never farmed one prior for this 10 i have five other 10s, and numerous 20s with the trink, have not farmed for this for maybe 2+ years now

    i told the player to go into chromie shadowlands time. try to solo. told me mobs were 50+ could not do amd gear shows unscaled. recommended going into lorewalking also, still the same. player said he went to theater of pain and the mobs scaled and was able to solo, think was going for rings, not sure if they are GFd. recommended using LFD, que specific, was told PF is not on the selection

    depending on class. LFD and solo is how i farmed mine, did blizz CB the ooze?
     
    I wouldn't worry about it at this point. Prepatch is three weeks away, and once scaling is finally done the ooze could be useless. The windmil already is as I tried it on the PTR and it just hit for 128 a swing. I dont have an ooze or I would have tried it also.

    I'd say wait and see how things end up after the 20th. Take the time you would have put into getting the ooze into farming whatever you actually want/need instead.
     
    While ooze is still a thing, farming one with a DPS-only class is complete disaster. Damage and heal feels to be not enough to solo bosses even on a char with good gear and enchants (or I'm doing something very very wrong, dunno), and LFG reg for SL is borderline dead currently. Missed my chance to spam SL TW, and in a last week I managed to get only one reg and all other days I was just sitting in reg for 6-8 hours.

    At this point I'm about to give up on my Hunter and start a Druid instead just to get better queue regs.

    Soloing into there is not gonna happen.
    Gotta get towed through the instance by either a stout 11 Fury or a high level toon; or pray for a dungeon que to pop.
    I couldn't say when the next SL TW will arrive... maybe 3 months, 6, so... those are your options.

    Could also group w/ other twinks ( subbed, obv. ) through in-game groups & have it traded to you; assuming you were subbed-up as well.

    That's great to hear. Lord knows, was a spell there where you could sit in que till you forgot you were IN que?!

    While working on a new acct. that is Ally dedicated, I've been building a few new farmers over this last week.
    I have a slightly under-geared 11 Fury on my main acct. that I've been towing the 27's through Aidsfall & with; & beyond the 2nd boss, it's a breeze.

    Gonna have to wait till I resub the main one to get the booger for the pally tho...
     
    I thought the bug was grandfatherd in and that they changed it for new drops? Is there a bunch of new 20s now or something?

    I hope it's not, though can neither confirm nor deny as I'm still in the process of getting it on newer chars. My old f2p monk got it less than year ago and as far as I tested it recently, it still works.

    Perhaps? Saw bunch of 20s with ghost iron dragonling and other sort-of-bis stuff that clearly were here for the trinket.
     
    worked as usual on one i got a week or 2 ago. doesn't work in all chromietimes, gotta return to current after qd & before pop. non int/agi drop-eligible ppl need to get into other lootmodes, gotta stand in melee range of boss while soloin, dps race as adds pile up, stop killin em and burn boss at some point.
