In the second clip the point wasn't to show if he didn't drop it'd be fine, it was to show if he dropped it 2 secs earlier when enemy team were all rooted or even called out that he's dropping when he did for repulsed to pick it'd be a good call, or at least a better one than just giving up the flag.
In the first clip the point was to show that judging by the timer and score not dropping would be better in every sense because he'd never be able to get his team to repick and cross in time to even think about capping so there's literally no reason to drop there other than to have less deaths on scoreboard.
also in the first clip it's important to know that tiptoe (i think thats pride the priest im not sure) could've avoided getting sapped off fear and mvq would have even less reason to drop.
