Healer threat bug

I noticed something that started happening recently. During WoD timewalking pugs, I've noticed as a healer when I drop a single heal on someone, even if it's a single HoT tick of 50 hp, I would immediately generate >3000% threat and peel every single mob off the tank onto me.

I'm not sure what causes this. I would logout or change spec and sometimes this bug will go away just to come back on another toon. Anyone else seen this bug yet?

Yup, I'm experiencing this as well, on both lvl 20 resto druid & prevoker. Also sort of noticing we generate more threat the higher level the tank is.

Also, leech is no more working as it used to be for us - no more giant leech ticks scaling off heals on friendly lvl 80s.

Blizzard fixed the leech thing, but broke the threat mechanic at the same time.

It has certainly made healing... interesting to say the least. Basically have to keep an eye out on how many mobs the tank pulls and being ready to run in the opposite direction should the threat swaps direction.

It's pretty weird how the healing threat bug has been all over the place for past few weeks.

In Classic TW few weeks ago, everything appeared to be back to normal - I hardly pulled any aggro even when I tried hard spamming heals everywhere.

The following week in Legion TW, the bug reared its head again. Pulled aggro but not as bad as what we had in the months prior; as if the insane threat modifier has been reduced by half somewhat?

Then in last week's Cata & this week's BC TW, that full on insane healing threat came back again. Fun times.

Casually browsed over to official forums, and there's an official response just a few days ago.
