If you see Shadowfang/Gloomshroud/Assassin's Blade starting to pop up all over AH to what would seem cheap, don't be fooled too quickly. You can easily get it yourself by farming them, and the oh so cheap 50k for SF is not so cheap after all.

My estimation of prices would be around:
Gloomshroud: 10-15k depending on server
Shadowfang: 10-15k deppending on server
Assassin's Blade: 5-7.5k
Mindthrust: 1-2k

Don't be a retard and pay overprice.

edit: I don't expect you to agree with this, I'm just spreading the word.

It's not rip off. You want it cheaper, go farm it yourself, otherwise pay the price. That's how bussiness works.

Farming isn't cheaper. Time spent when you could be making cash with the drop rate toss in some division, and you can see the numbers for yourself. Personally I think shadow fang is like designer clothes, its the label that makes it look all good along side the drop rate, really 2x loom swords it might increase your crit or damage every so slightly, but at the end of the day its going to be in around the same figure.
Nowadays 30k gold is easy to get so i think the price should be up't.

Anyways, it seems to me that you're upset of the prices from AH (you want it for for yourself also, it's obvious). That being said, i wasnt reffering specifically to you. I was talking in general for the individuals that want it.

That being said, again, i don't consider it's RIP off. When you want to buy something from some store you go there if the price fits you, you buy, if not you search elsewhere. That simple it is, and like i said, it's business.

PS: When i'll get mine, i'll put it for 200k Gold at AH. Rip OFF? No, it's my price, my wasted time farming and so on. People don't want to pay the price, they are free to farm it.
PS2: I already got Assassin's, i'll put it for 50k.

I'm going to farm it myself, I'm not going to buy it so statement proven wrong there.

Anyways, let's take oil/petrol prices as an example, whenever major oil spots are found, you will notice prices fall on pretty much every gas station because the supply is higher than before.

Now in theory Shadowfang/gloom is raw oil, and the mobs are the oil spots, you get where I'm going with this??

if you pay over 10k for a fang you're getting ripped off, plain and simple they aren't as rare as they used to be. BUT if you want to pay 200k for it or whatever and are fine with it more power to you

When there's little supply and a lot of demand for an item the prices soar (ex: .01% drop chance off bosses for a SF)... When there's medium supply and a lot of demand for an item the prices are mediocre for the current economy (ex: Feet of the Lynx)... When there's a lot of supply and a lot of demand the prices remain relatively low.. (ex: wool cloth)... When theres little demand and a lot of supply something isn't worth anything (ex: guild tabards)

With a lot of people farming 19 twink items and the drop chances increased you can put your SF up for 50k. But when 5 other people have SF's to sell, people will undercut each other and you. As people are undercutting, someone else may just say "wow I got 2 SF's in 10 runs, let me put these up for 20k because they're easy to get now".. Thus forcing people to have to drop the prices in order to be able to sell.

Your argument is invalid and no one will buy your 50k SF's.

You are correct and this goes for most twink gear. There are always viable options.

Gloomshroud won't produce any extra magical numbers

Shadowfang won't produce any extra magical numbers


Rogues without Gloomshroud and Shadowfangs etc can, have, and will always be able to outplay and out damage rogues with their bis item slots especially in a longer match such as a WSG game.

Rogues without these items will still be able to beat other rogues with them. Flashback to 1v1 arena against Confident on his bis dual fanged sub rogue when my combat rogue back in cata did not have: boas, professions, Shadowfangs, AGM and bandages. ;*
