EU+US F2P DK removal?

When did blizz remove the ability for F2P who had the ability to make DKs in the past? I just tried making another today and it said Trial accounts are not allowed to create DKs.

Blizz removed this bug for a long time. I think it was in 2013

I made like 30 DK's on a trial account before they fixed it. I think they got locked once u log off of the character

I am sad that they removed it. I know they got locked after you logged off but I missed being able to do some higher level content. Oh well, I'm sure there will be another chance in the future.

either since wod or when veterans came out in patch 6.1. cant remember which exactly
