    hi friends!

I know it's several months out but I want to put a bee in yalls bonnet about getting together a full f2p group to clear BRD during brewfest.

We'll need a warrior tank, a priest, another healer, and two hunters. Though there's a possibility that the second healer might be redundant. We'll see.

Anyway, are any of yall interested in this? I'd like to bring my Druid as the second healer.

But do we have a tank? A couple hunters? A priest?

Why do you want a warrior tank specifically? Do they still get reduced damage?

And good luck with the endeavor :) all I have on US is a very undergeared lock, so even if I gear it up it won’t be too much of a help.

So I'm theory crafting here BUT

Warriors get an armor bonus from strength, giving them improved damage reduction over other tanks and shield block provides insane mitigation and can be cycled with priest shield to keep damage at a minimum. Devastate and TC tend to hit mobs pretty consistently too, keeping threat high.

Pallies can generate the threat but I'm worried about mitigating damage on pulls with alot of mobs.

I could join as MW monk, if needed? Heavy melee dmg+ probably the strongest spikeheals in the bracket.(specwise)

I think it's going to depend entirely on if the tank can keep aggro enough. War is the better tank for mitigation but with more aoe abilities the prot pally can hold aggro easier.

    Food for thought!

Right, but alot of those AoE abilities don't seem to hit with as high a consistency as TC and devastate.

Though, I'm running off memory here with no ability to test

Are they us? We'd love to have you along.

Hell yes. May need you if I end up tanking or we end up running a second run (which I hope to)

One day, i'll proudly have good geared twinks on both EU and US, but not today yet :/

Anyway, good luck with that project :) We'll maybe have one like that on EU side :p

It shouldnt be too hard to test, just remember that for stuff like consecration each tick is considered a hit and counts for aggro, as well as the talented crusader strike thing helping too. While it may not land as much initially, over the duration of the effects it may land more, ultimately helping out more, freeing up globals to do damage as well. Shield bash is also an aoe hit; I'm unsure if warrior has an equivalent to that.

Like I said I think holding aggro is priority number one, since the pack mobs will just tear the group apart if the tank can't keep aggro on all the mobs effectively.

That seems unnecessarily specific... I'd much rather see a failed attempt using "the best combo you can manage" among the interested players, then see it fall through because you gave-up ahead of time.

...you will be recording this for us, right? o_O

Damn... @Chops reppin' southern colloquialisms like he's the cat's pajamas! ;)

Gonna have to have a priest because bubble is practically required and double hunter is best DPS because nobody else is gonna hit anything in BRD. Id love to run whatever five people sign up first but casters ain't gonna hit a damn thing and melee just doesn't have the oomph without enchants. That and risking dying to aoe.

It's specific to give it a chance of success. Though I'm willing to be talked into other classes for tank and whatever the second healer is.

And of course it'll be recorded.

    Good luck with this project!
If you can't find a priest I have an F2P alliance one on Hydraxis but she's *not* well geared (dates from back when I had just started playing again and didn't understand what vers was, assumed it was the new pointless stat (like spirit) and used to throw away vers gear :O
On the plus side she has a fair bit of crit and haste haha! But yeah... you'd have to be truly desperate to go to her. Happy to help if you need it though.
