Hi all, recently there has been a bit of life breathed in the bracket with a couple of 10v10's being played and more organised for future between guilds. With Phase 4 and Fishing Contest around the corner, the Twinking bracket could see a sharp uptake of new talent, with this comes opportunity to start some healthy competition between our Horde and Alliance guilds. We should facilitate this healthy competition in the bracket, so please if you also would like to test your mettle against other guilds in the bracket use this thread to do so!

How can I use this thread to compete ?:

You can then submit your guild's time slots of availability. If you wish to submit your guild for premades, you can post a reply to this thread with the name of your guild, which weeks/day you are able to compete, and what time you would like this to be.(Note all times will be server time for simplicity)
Please use format such as the following:

Code:
April
[A] <Twink Killers> Week 1, Tuesday 7pm, Week 3 Saturday 3pm.
Contact: Discord/BNet: Twink#0000
How does the Matchmaking work?:

Each month a new list containing slots for guilds will be updated.

If you are a guild about to use the thread to post for a premade, please first take the time to scan the list of guilds who have already submitted at the base of the OP. If you can accept one of the challenges, then you can post this as follows:

Code:
[H] <Anti Twink Killers>
Accepts
[A] <Twink Killers> at Week 1 7pm.
Contact: Discord/Bnet BiggerTwink#1111
The OP roster will then be updated accordingly to reflect this change. You may also feel free to add the guilds if you need them to be more flexible with times. - Once you have agreed on a time, then you can post this similar to above.

What is expected of my guild if we are participating?:

If your guild has submitted themselves to play, it is common curtesy to be punctual and have all members be prepared to play at the time you have agreed. Rules can then be agreed personally between the two guilds, you can also use the standard rulesets which is outlined above, and guilds should stick to rules once agreed.
During the game feel free to post any streaming links in the discussion thread and results in this thread to be updated. This is optional.
Failure to show up or communicate lateness to opposing guild on two separate occasions will result in your guild being blacklist from participation for 3 months.

What if a rival guild breaks rules?:

Rule breaking by mistake or forgetting yourself and chugging one healing potion is excusable, continuous breaking of the rules is not. If you opponents have been found to do this, please post in the discussion thread for all to see. Offenders will receive a 3 month ban.

My guild has newer players OR Is unable to submitted a competitive team:

If this is the case and you are still wanting to participate for fun or practise this is encouraged! These types of games can be noted with a special asterisks marked beside them to note that it was a fun match with a learning or makeshift team for the official records.

Friendly Matches:

Friendly games are also encouraged if you are playing in short notice or would just like to have a more lighthearted approach, then you can submit as a friendly and this will also be noted on the roster and archive.
Friendlys can also be submitted retrospectively to the archive, if you happen to stumble across 9-10 in PUG matchmaking with your guilds own 9-10, you can let us know about the results of these, as it all adds to the competitive spirit!

Additional notes:

This is made in good faith that we can organise some competitive matches in the community. Please try and be positive, keep negative comments and toxicity away from these threads and take flame wars else where. If you don't want to par-take, you don't have to. People getting involved should try and be good sportsmen towards each other, people don't want to play against sour losers nor does anybody want to play against ungracious winners.

Good initiative. I think bombs being allowed is a good choice. It makes games a lot more fast-paced versus the current pace of slow vanilla gameplay and evens out the deficit of alliance racials versus horde racials.

Some problems that I can see:

1. The lack of teams currently. We only have three major teams, ET Phone Gnome, Silverwing Sentinels and Die Zerschmetterlinge.

2. Another problem is lack of interest. A lot players just aren't interested in 10v10s which makes it hard to organise games which relates back to point one especially on alliance-side. People don't want to play if they are just going to lose which is obvious but people forget it sometimes.

3. Players need to be willing to play on both horde and alliance and not the team that they think is stacked and going to win. If we want good games of any caliber, players need to be willing to make both horde and alliance characters and be willing to swap to play for another team. For example, many players in Pyrewood and ET Phone Gnome have multiple characters in each guild. Moreover, there were 16+ players in the ET Phone Gnome discord watching the match with only 10 playing on horde-side. Be proactive and make alliance characters if you want to play in these games.

4. Lack of essential roles. For example, need more flag carriers in competitive games especially with a shortage of these. FC is probably one of the hardest roles to play in the gulch but the most rewarding.

EU is a far-cry away from NA right now in terms of competitive gameplay, skill-level and number of teams but its a good start and I hope this positive trend continues.

Thank you, all welcome points. I do request that we keep discussion points and opinions to the discussion thread here: https://xpoff.com/threads/eu-19s-guild-10v10-discussion-thread.92653/
Just to keep the clutter down and keep the focus of this thread centered around the matchmaking applicants per week.

Just to respond to these valid points, I do fully understand your worries, but if you never try it won't happen essentially. Your points are true, but that is only for at this current time; people may be invigorated and decide to start queuing for premades and we may yet see some dark horses join the race, so let's see what we can accomplish.
Keep a positive mindset! If you want to discuss further, would be happy to in the discussions thread :).

Thread updated with some results for Week 1 matches. Stream here for ETPG v DZ : https://www.twitch.tv/videos/583244031
Week 2 has new premade scheduled for a rematch ETPG v DZ, well done to all participating players in the Games!

Feel free any guilds considering premading to submit your availability for this week. Some more activity in Alliance, and new guild popping up in Pyrewood Village. So definitely room for more games between some of the other big guilds to be made in the near future.

Updated OP Archives and info with this weeks results and new match schedules for next weekend. If you're guild is interested in getting involve in 10v10s, submit your post to show willing!

Potential opening for an Alliance guild to take on ETPG next Saturday if uwu tang clan don't accept challenge 6-7pm on 25th April.

Results for scheduled games updated.
Due to circumstances DZ was unable to attend, so <uwu tang clan> kindly taking up the ropes but unable to get together a full 10. Fun practise game still with 8v10.
Still hoping for more guilds to put themselves forward for weekly games but very great to see a new team competing so well with a semi team, full 10v10 has been scheduled for next week.

ET are horde unfortunately so your only options are uwu on Pyrewood or the Germans
Yeah on second week we will be ready so we can make some runs

Updated thread with results from last two weeks, and upcoming scheduled games for this week and the next!
May add some criteria for Wargames also with this addition, but for now tracking just the Guild v Guild matches will do and we can see how wargames progresses.

Awesome to see 2 new guild names in the mix last week also
