Enhancement shaman weapons

Hey boys.

I decided to main a shaman for 29 and absolutely loving enhancement.

Trying to work out BIS weapons, but would also like know WHY a weapon is bis.

I got blue mokk, green cudgel, haste proc offhand. No access to the heirlooms.

I run high mastery and lashing flames + ice strike talents, so I get a lot of fire/frost/nature dmg and due to this I don't know if bashguuder is worth running OH?

Looking at stats i like the ilvl 36 bfa socket fist weapons (11 main stat, 9 offstat + socket and tert, 5.2 dps) but dunno if it's worth getting one for MH giving up the 3.6 speed mokk. What is it that makes the 3.6 MH so good and is it still this good.

What would you, more experienced shamans run and why?

shamans have multiple offhand hitting moves so it should be better then on my 60 rogue in the offhand ( felt like it barely procced offhand but procced all the time mh)

I would probably go moks mh and either blackout offhand claw of the watcher bashgudder or an ilvl 36 with mastery and socket.
What is it that makes the 3.6 MH so good and is it still this good.

its still good, weapon damage converts into ap for your abilities. slower weapons have higher weapon damage. I can't remember the exact weapon damage into ap ratio though but its been discussed a lot in 20 vet threads.

Main hand > Purple Mok > Purple Cudgel > Blue Mok > Reroll
Off hand > No real reason to give up the haste proc on the Blackout Truncheon. Stuff like the Bashguuder has the same problems as things like the Vibroblade in the past... they are gimmickey and barely every work the way you think they will.

Dancing Steel is still pretty nice... and at 29 you live a lot longer (or at least have the potential to) so you can take advantage of the proc longer.

And then basic unrelated:
From what I have seen on the rest from people that did not just go Glad-Lazy (just has bad Agility on it, but easy to get)

(1) Desolation 4 piece (the agility proc is still good enough for BiS)- you can get the head now from Black Morass and don't have to use the crappy legs... obviously there use the Wyrmscale Greeves. Belt is still Tarren Mill Defender Cinch (maybe you could replace this when you have i37+socket+tert)
It's up to you to stack whatever after that:
1) If you are going all in on Stormstrike/Ride the Lightning you want Verse as it scales better with it.
2) If you are going all in on Icestrike you want Mastery as it scales better with it.
3) Keep Haste and Crit about even on the misc/cape
4) Trinket 1 PvP
5) Trinket 2 - Agility Proc (Stormstrike centered) or Armored Elekk Tusk (Icestrike centered)

Depending on if you just go all Agility Gems/Chants or +2Agility/+2Stam will just depend on when you play... if you play when there are a bunch of little kid premades on then just to live for 1 second you should have 4500 hp instead of 3500. And obviously if you want to just post the best games just gamble on all Agility that way when you do have the best game... you just did the most damage (over the course of a longer fight that the 20 agility you lose from using +2+2 gems will put a BIG dent in that final number - if that is the fun you are looking for).

Your goal is still to nuke these kids running around with 3500 HP and +280+ Int... that should be your main focus.

Yeah so running blue mok + speed proc offhand atm.. Have a different one I might try to get though .

I run the ice strike build and am REALLY digging it. I have full socket+tert gear. Only missing piece atm is Desolation shoulders for 2 piece set bonus. Apart from that I am fully bis I think. Harm speed neck, aurora speed ring / 2 x fever speed rings, ect.ect.

Currently running dragonling + boe with socket+speed but might get the elekk tusk and see how I like thst (must admit I was never a fan of "use" trinkets).might have to give up some stats and run pvp, trinket rogues are annoying.

Edit: and oh yeah, full 2 Agil 2 stam gems.

Anything wise to say about meta gem? Currently running 2 Agil 3% increased crit dmg.. Dunno if haste proc one is better?

Yeah I have been liking both builds. I just went super haste/verse for Stormflurry. The haste meta gem just lets you sometimes smoke somebody, it is quite a boost in the cool down.

Weapon choice really depends on your build. There are a couple weapons you listed that have an old school design, leftover from before most other weapons began to follow the 'weapon normalization' rules. The Mokk and Cudgel both have 3.6 second weapon speed, meaning your attack swing will be bigger for a 1 handed weapon, doing more damage on non special attacks. Special attacks will do slightly more too, but special attacks were normalized back in the day, which is why 1handed weapons now have 2.6 second speed.

The important part of this for you, enhance can be built and played a number of ways. If your goal is to play Forceful Winds talent, for instance, you probably want to lean toward a haste heavy build, and having faster weapons will increase the number of WF procs simply because of how Windfury is designed (25% base chance on hit to proc, more hits = more procs). 1 second faster swing timer means more procs. Having more haste means more swings. Mastery also increases WF proc rate, but the return on Mastery rating for WF procs is really really low. The benefit from mastery toward spell damage is about the only reason to stack mastery (unless someone has the data to show WF proc rate from mastery stacking being better than haste/weapon speed).

A high mastery build would be better for using Elemental Blast or Ice Strike, since both of those benefit from the mastery, more than Forceful Winds seems to. Since you gain access to instant casts through Maelstrom stacks, you don't have to rely on haste as much to get spell casts off. Haste will still be good at getting maelstrom procs, however. So would having a faster weapon.

Now, the benefit to having a blue Mokk? Bigger Windfury hits. Might have to strike a balance between more WF hits through Mastery and bigger ones through haste stacking with a higher priority to soft cap it, using Mokk. It's a lot of mental math to speculate, would like to see someone actually test it all.

More importantly is to understand how the 29 games actually play out. Its not Arena or End game... the fights are over in about 2 seconds, so you might as well just try to hit the hardest. Haste is nice, but not that important when you either drop somebody with verse and a crit or lose.

All we really have yet on enhance from 29 is a few players that have pocket heals or don't... that's not really a fair test pool.

Enhance is not S tier even with malestrom/whatever. You can just go slap on Desolation 5 piece, use the Tarren belt, and the Boots from Nexus, Black out Trunch with the Blade fist... and I guarantee you are gonna do just as well as any other build at 20/29 with i37 master/whatever... because again, things happen super fast... and it's more about were you deep in the fight with heals or not.
