Easy Brainless Methods for making gold in Cata.

Hey guys, I just thought it would be kinda cool if everyone posted their methods for making easy/brainless gold. I don't know about other players, but I hate having to install addons that track all my Nodes/Herbs that I've looted in the past, make a pattern and fly around for hours and waiting for the nodes/herbs to respawn. For a lot of people, you'd have to do it for 1-2 weeks before you even get all the nodes/herbs, but then you have to make a pattern that gives you the most mats in the least amount of time. I WANT TO MAKE GOLD AND NOT HAVE TO THINK. It's not too much to ask and I know there are other players out there who feel the same exact way. We want to make money and we don't want to have to come up with something fancy just do to it.



When I want to make gold, I want it to be like this:



1. Hardly any work involved, if anything people do the work for you.

2. Easy

3. Brainless

4. Fast

5. EFFECTIVE



So please, post your methods for making gold so we can all live better lives in WoW :D



I'll be happy to start :)





One easy way that I found would be getting these two professions for a specific spec.





Skinning/Enchanting for ANYONE





Every morning I do my TB and TBP Dailies on my 85s and there will be countless times when I see people who have looted the spiders/crocs and they are skinnable. So all I do is going around for 15 minutes within the area and skin anything that is lying around.



Within 15 minutes of doing that(depending on the time of day) I already have 100-250 Savage Leather. Whaaabaaam. So you get the 300+ Gold from doing your TB/TBP Dailies, then you sell the savage leather from 4-7g per(depending on your server) and you just made 2,000g in 1 hour of doing TB/TBP Dailies :) And on top of that you have a chance to skin up a Strange Bloated Stomach which drops any of the Volatiles and 1-4 of them(Max I've gotten is 4). So there's even more gold.





That tactic right that is Easy, Brainless, and any idiot can pull off on their spare time. Wake up an hour earlier before you start getting ready for work and you could be making 2,000g each day on your spare time.









The 2nd thing is Enchanting. I can't say how many times I've looted up a random Green/Blue BoE item and I end up stocking up my enchanting mats with them. But on top of that your also a Tank for PvE. So your constantly doing dungeon/raids to improve your gear and we all know how many times people just /pass on loot because no one needs it. Disenchant that crap. When I was Doing some intense-gaming on my resto druid, I'd cap my JPs 3-4 times a day and I'd end up with so much Disenchanting mats that I'd end up selling them to my auctioneer because my bags get too full.



Sell that crap and make an easy 3k gold a day for you hardcore PvE'ers. And if PvE isn't your thing then just do the easy Dailies from TB/TBP, your bound to loot plenty of greens along the way.



Also, When your doing TB Dailies, Crocs drop Crocolisk Tail which go for about .8-2g per. Easy gold :)









Another skinning spot that has made me 5,000g within 56 Minutes!!!!!!!!! Yep:) this is a goldmine right here:





Twilight Highlands - Zone - World of Warcraft.



If you click on the link, look at the map. In the middle towards the bottom of the map there's a spot called: Obsidian Forest. This spot is small, and there are plenty of NPCs in the area; we're be hunting Dragonkins tonight fokes ;)



Within this area are flying dragons all across the fields. But they aren't the ones your focusing on, focus on the ones on the ground.

These two badboys are a goldmine if you have Enchanting/Skinning



For obvious reasons, they drop random greens every once in awhile, disenchant those and your already buying all your enchanting mats ;)





But the big bonus to these guys is that they give you 4 Different Items almost ALL the time.



1. Savage Leather(#1-7) - 65% Skinning Chance. Sells for 4-7g Per.

2. Dragon Flanks(#1-3) - 50% Drop Chance. Sells for .8-1.2g Per.

3. Strange Bloated Stomach(1-4 of any kind of Volatile) 3-4% Skinning Chance. Sells for 12-30g Per depending on the Volatile.

4. Blackened Dragonscale(#1-7) - 35% Drop chance. Sells for 20-35g Per.



Let me give you a rough estimate. When I farm up to 2 Stacks of Blackened Dragonscales(40), I get about 150-200 Savage leather, 100-150 Dragon Flanks, and 10-15 Strange Bloated Stomachs. Plus the random Greens which you can Disenchant.



That right there is how I make all my money. First of all, it's an easy 4-5k gold in under 1 hour of your gaming time. 2nd it's EASY, FAST, AND BRAINLESS; you go around in a circle killing/skinning things(not hard at all).



Best thing of all, THESE THINGS SELL FAST.





That's all I have for now. When ever I need quick gold, all I do is Do my TB/TBP Dailies and Do the skinning method listed above. But when ever I need A LOT of gold REALLY Fast, I go to twilight Highlands, do this for an hour, and make some real gold really fast.



Hey sometimes I wanna buy myself a Mechano Hog, I get off early for work. Do this for 3 hours, and bam I got one.





This is easy, brainless, and effective ways for making gold without even having to put much effort into it.







I'd appreciate if more people would post their EASY, FAST, and Most importantly, BRAINLESS ways for making gold. We all want to make gold, so show us your methods:)

i never gather, i never do dailies, i have tons of gold. i make all of it (ALL OF IT) from flipping items in the auction house.



go download the addon "auction snatch". it gives you a tab at the bottom of the auction house that you can save a list on, and then do an automated search whenever you want. (the list is saved per server and you can import another server's list if you play on multiple ones)



so far i have about 100 things listed on mine like twink items that clueless noobs list for 2g, vanity pets that some retard may list for 800g when they sell for 4k, all the ore and bars and enchanting mats in the game so i have a deep knowledge of what they are worth and if i see one day that all the ones listed are 24g when they are normally 6 i can list a bunch, other little items like prison keys, shadow dust, sulfuron ingots, darkmoon cards, rare recipes etc.



also you'd be surprised what laziness can sell. people routinely pay me 15-50 gold or more for vendor recipes that cost like 10 silver just so they don't have to fly out there.



there is another trick that some people may know about - buying stacks and splitting them up to sell individually. people who list in stacks almost always list at a cheaper price than what the items go for just one by itself. the problem is that most people who need that stuff only NEED one, and are willing to pay more for it to save themselves the hassle of dealing with a stack of crap they don't need.



for people on a new server, i made a couple thousand gold selling wool cloth alone. i don't know why, but it's like 2-3g PER CLOTH on three different servers i play on. i sell them in 5 stacks, because someone buying it for first aid needs an even number and would have to keep buying. don't worry about people having theirs listed for 20 silver. put yours up for a couple gold each anyway. the people buying wool are going to buy out all the cheap stuff first and then buy your expensive stuff too.

Ah is by far the easiest and most mindless way to make money. Plus you can do it on your twink! Fizzfizz already posted my limited supply of tricks. Mostly I deal in bulk, buy out all copper ore on the AH and then repost it for a small profit. I AH basically everything even if it only represents a small profit, all the little stuff adds up after awhile.



Buff food is my favorite market to corner beause it's required by most raids yet few people ever bother to make their own. Level cooking, buy recipies, buy mats (when they're cheap), and set whatever price you want. Hit and expertise rating food tends to be cheaper to make than agi/str/int and is usually in demand due to it being a great way for people to cap while gear levels are still relatively low.
 
im going to pick up skinning now, i need extra cash and dailies are not cutting it for me
 
I love the obsidian forest in Twilight Highlands myself, but don't forget to use potions of treasure finding, no matter what you're grinding.

If you have the potion buff active you have a chance to get extra loot (cloth, volatiles and gold). On average this ends up as a net profit if you use them often enough, definitely worth while if you're grinding any mobs.
 
its very rare that something comes up in this ridiculous game that i haven't heard, but i'm not afraid to admit that i had no idea that potion of treasure TRACKING actually causes your loot table to change...



Back to topic: I make GF farm on gathering alts. I work the AH as above. However i would have to diagree that working the ah falls into his category of "brainless". if you are truly brainless then definitely have a skinner/miner and farm as above, running in circles definitely fits the bill of something to do whilst simulateously watching a movie, eating, snogging, and or smoking something.
 
I also am just now hearing about the pot that increases ur chance of getting more loot. Very nice kore :)
 
just wanted to add that the potion of treasure tracking is ONLY worth the price of it if you are farming leather or grinding mobs for the =full duration= of the potion some other way. they are kind of expensive, and unless you are killing a crap ton of mobs for the whole time you have the buff, the boxes just don't drop frequently enough to be worth it.
 
When I farm, I usually go to Silithus and kill Dust Stormers for Essence of Air.

These babies sell for 150-200g EACH on my server, and by farming these non stop for an hour, I can get anywhere from 20-30 of these, depending on my luck. The droprate was nerfed with the shattering, but with flying mount and all it helps. Before the shattering I was able to get 100 of these an hour, but they sold for like 30g each back then, so in a way the GP/H has increased depending on your server.

Not many knows of this place, so the competition is almost always very low.

Not only BC raids, but pre BC raids. You can easily get them done with 2 people, and I believe it's about 50-100g per boss for each person. My favorite was BWL, because of the amount of bosses there are.
 
Sell boosts to 2.2k in 3v3. I have around 100k gold left at the moment just from selling boosts to scrubs. We charge 40k per boost normally divided between either 2-3 of us depending on if we play their chars or not. Free gold is free xD. This is at 85 btw ;p



Edit: sold 31 boosts so far this season, easiest form of moneymaking I have ever done, and I have done it since TBC :p

You are joking I presume? If not, a boost is when 1-2 experienced arena players literally carry a third player untill they reach players' desired rating in arena. Upon completion of the rating gain, they get a fee which has been pre determined.



In laymans terms, I take them to 2200 rating in 3v3 or 2400, with the help of a friend, or playing with 2 people I am boosting.
 
Selling arena points in BC and carrying to 1850 for weapons was what i use to do.





@the guy saying sell BC patterns for 500gold.



I sell Sunwell patterns for 6-10k gold depending on the pattern I could get 15-20k for a Hard khorium neck >_<
