Dragonflight Alpha

Worth checking lvl req for SL zones once they're scaled for all levels. With the removal of barrage and addition of aoe spells for most classes, farming 28s in lvl 25 SL zones might work well.

SL is currently inaccessible solo

Speaking of Shadowlands, you know how after you've completed the story on one character, you can skip it on alts and immediately gain access to World Quests and level up that way?

I wonder if that'll work at low level after Shadowlands is scaled to 10-60. Possibly world quests for us? :3

Edit: False alarm, Im a big dumdum

I need yall to put this firmly in the "Dont Freak Out" box but I just got a world quest in BFA on a level ten toon. It *might* be because I have an evoker on the account, thus triggering some "do you have a high level character" requirement for world quests. But this Alpha account is essentially a brand new account. I have no BFA achievements outside of Come Sail Away for the intro quests.

So MAAAAAAAAAAAYBE world quests open up for F2P?

You mean a "normal" wq or faction assault?

Gotta confess, I didnt know there was a difference and I didnt really pay too much attention. Just logged back on my toon to check and the quest is no longer in my logs.

But it popped up in Boralus while I was doing the intro sequence so... probably the "kill hordies" one, which I assume is the faction assault? Which I gather means its not all that exciting at all :(

Just noticed these changes in a recent wowhead post in regards to Hunters for the next Alpha build.

Base
  • Mend Pet has been bumped up from 35% of Pet’s HP over its duration, to 50% of pet’s HP.
  • Improved Exhilaration (the pet healing) is now part of the baseline Exhilaration ability.
Survivor
  • Terms of Engagement and Improved Harpoon talents have been combined and now only requires 1 talent point total.
  • Several abilities reduced to 1 or 2 total points, down from 2 or 3 total points.
It also mentions several talents are being rotated around but doesn't specify which.

Hunters have legit gotten a blue post about them nearly every day, meanwhile Shadow Priest languishes with one of the worst talent trees ever.

Vyvenem excepted, hunter players are very loud and very stupid and that tends to get attention
Vyvenem is the purest of hunters. I owe any won BG to him, and PVP wasn't even his intention

Edit: I also owe any won BG to Blizzards lvl 20 scaling and hunters being stronk

What's up with priests? My initial impression from comments was that it was pretty strong and lots of options

Are they losing something? My knowledge lacks in priests

Shadow has to choose between doing damage (unfurling darkness) or getting silence + dispersion. Their only insanity spender also costs a talent point. And devo plague is weak at 20, many spriests may just skip it. The good news is that holy priests got major buffs and disc looks stronger too.

Does spriest have access to those now (do they lose access to having all of the abilities) or is it a tough decision between what to take/lose?

Judging from how many spells classes will get, so far, at 20, the silence seems incredibly strong in terms of stopping dps/utility/healing

Sounds like SPriests get to choose between being a face melter or a strong support spec. I (personally) dont see much of a problem here but rather a quality example of how talent trees can bring a lot of cool options to the table.
