Dragonflight Alpha

Its happening!

On the Hunter side, MM lost Multi-Shot completely. It was replaced by a 2 pointer (we can only get 1 point in it).

Bullseye: When your abilities damage a target below 20% health, you gain 1% increased critical strike chance for 6 sec, stacking up to [15/30] times. Two Rank Talent.

BM Barbed Shot is 1 charge to start instead of 2 (I believe it is 2 in SL, I never played BM though)
-
On the Druid side, Improved Barkskin is now only 1 point instead of 2.

Guardians lose 20% Stamina boost from Ursine Adept but gain 10% damage reduction. It doesn't look like the Stamina gain from Bear form was changed, so that's just a flat 20% Stamina loss for Guardian Druids. They get Barkskin and tons of healing options though, so I'm sure it won't be too bad.

I'm not actually playing the alpha, just getting this from wowhead's calculator and what I've seen from other people.

Not sure if this was posted here yet, but this might mean we get access to Cataclysm stuff and.. well, everything else in the game almost.

Edit: If we have access to all zones that currently exist up and together with Shadowlands then that means we can also get stuff, like, a level-3 Garrison and all that.

We'll just have to see, I guess.

this is pretty well worn and doesn’t mean we’ll get any more content as we can currently level from 10-50 in any expansion.

you gotta remember that technically, the remade zones like barrens, stv, 1k needles, darkshore, etc are all part of “cataclysm” content.

Myeah but what I meant was.. if all zones scale from 10-60, instead of some zones still requiring a higher level like as is the case currently.

sure but thats not what that link says

"Our current plan is to rescale all of the existing expansions including Shadowlands from 10 to 60-"

..I suppose it's up to ones personal interpretation, so we'll have to see.

yes. They’re all currently 10-50. So rescaling them from 10-60 as the level cap reaches 70 is… what you’d do.

its just as likely that, as the add ten more levels to the current expacs that even less content becomes available at 20.

If the expansions currently scale only to level 50 and they need to be made to scale up to 60, what phrase would you use?

Instead of "Our current plan is to rescale all of the existing expansions including Shadowlands from 10 to 60",

I would have written "Our current plan is to include Shadowlands in Chomie time and to increase the scaling to 60, up from 50."

All I know is: come 11.0 we are NEVER going to be able to geta around the DI's.
FU-uUCK they're YUGE! ( skip to 2:50 or so )

I'd imagine the inclusion of Shadowlands needing to be scaled down is what led to usage of "10 to 60" instead of your hypothetical "up from 50"

The word "rescaling" is what threw me off, because it implies they'd have to do something they've already done before, and the only way to do that is to change the way things currently scale.

Hence why I was hoping for level requirement removals of zones like Vashj'ir, Surumar, etc..

Nope on the cataclysm front, that expansion is already integrated with the "classic" zones into one singular timeline, basically the most they will do will be to scale them from 30-50 to 30-60. Hell, my biggest fear is that they might take some "classic" zones and raise the minimum scalling celling to cover the "streched" content.

Edit: I just saw the video on dragon flying, and I was struck by realisation: this whole new mechanic kinda looks like how we fly at level 20 (gnomish well and goblin glider). Have twinks been ahead of the curve all this time?

There's some significant changes to priest talents. Dispel magic now available. Improved smite is now harder to get but body and soul + feathers are easier to get.

Sub lost shadow blades too, it's below the 8 point line currently.
