Dodging losses.

I've been playing 19's since i was about 10, and i started in 2005. You can do the math.

I'm having a very big problem with certain twinks and its getting me frustrated, why do so many people queue for battlegrounds and eventually leave when they cant seem to find any chance of winning? Now that you know how long i've been playing 19's, you can safely assume i know this isn't new, but now that im more involved in the community (not really) it's becoming very frustrating. We're finally getting pops and you want to ruin that? i'm not here to say any names, but you know who you are, just play your ally character if you want to win and never lose man. Stick it through with you're pug and make the best of it, if not, find some other way to elevate the bracket.

I was having a discussion with my guild master about treating 19 bg's like sports games, if your team is your problem, don't worry about it, focus on yourself and by doing that you have already enriched the community! Raise the bar of skill/gameplay for yourself and for those around you. Doing good, such as returning flags/capping flaggings or anything even in the proccess of, should hopefully raise awareness in your pug, if you'd rather not, don't ever pug and stick to premading, since you want to be Johny Awesome from uber town. You play good and others around you should emulate you, don't be a prick and leave, but then again this is just my opinion, if you don't agree, then that's fine. I'll still be me, i'm curious to see how the rest of the bracket views this, How do you guys perceive twinks when they leave after 2nd cap regardless of time?

Lately i've also been seeing ally gy farm a lot, what's going on ally?? you guys play broken comps and you guys still have no shame in what you're doing?? haha just jokes guys, GG all around, but please stop the farming, i've had enough lol

See you guys in the gulch! -Tutts/Grimtong/Scópe/Heraclees/Inn- F u can read dis ur dead - ARTHAS.

Back in Cata, I used to play a shadow priest called Shadowßeast, and people hated me for playing shadow instead of Disc/Holy, until I started killing hunters (Keeshan's Bandana was OP back then). Good ol' days. I had to delete the toon due to other reasons.

Back on topic, nothing much has changed since the last expansion aside from a shift in FoTM class/specs. Just do what you do best by trying to win the games and promote the bracket.

Dude i remember those times! i hated ally for that, i usually always played horde lol, but yeah i get you man. I guess i'm just venting out frustrations. haha

AFKing out is the nature of the beast in twinking. Some do it when they deem their team is a "waste of their time". And some do it to preserve their precious win/loss ratio that no one looks at besides themselves. And then you have the plain ole ragers.

/cheers

Good post OP.

I have a mathematical formula for why people afk that captures it most of the time. It's (how good you think you are on a scale of 1-100) minus (how good you actually are on a scale of 1-100) equal (percentage chance you'll afk when some adverse event happens). Those of us who are pretty honest to ourselves of our strengths/weaknesses don't do it. People who think they're better than they actually do, they do do it.

There's exceptions.... People having really bad days or a real life issue came up. Oh and the mathematical percentage is greater than 50% for some people. There's a term for when you get in a bad game after a certain guild afk's. I'll let you figure that one out yourself though. :)
