I wasn't sure I wanted to say anything on this Site about this but I think it helps to add to his memory. I lost a good WoW friend to Covid-19 a week ago, he was just 33. I met Brandon during WotLK, along with a dozen other people that I played with on and off for more than a decade.

Strangely enough, I met 4 of this circle of friends a few years prior when they got me hooked on Eve Online, my 1st foray into MMO's. This was around 2006 iirc. I came to WoW in 2007 during TBC and for the most part stuck around ever since (missing chunks here and there).

If I had to describe Brandon, I'd say he was kind, quite hilarious at times, had a great sense of humor and was overall great fun to play video games with. As I was usually Raid Lead during WotLK, Brandon was always prepared, on time, knew the fights and took direction well.

I still remember the shenanigans we got up to like dragging one of the Caverns of Time Dragons all the way to Org to end up dying laughing so hard when it killed everyone in site. Another time when we "Raided" Zul'Gurub and one of our friends was lagging behind but came in strong on his mount then got sheeped while STILL ON THE MOUNT. It was the funniest thing I've seen in WoW.

I'll miss playing with Brandon, I'll miss having him as a friend and I hope his Family learn in time to laugh about all the good parts. I made this Player Portrait for him and added a new Rank in my Guild for his Characters. Covid sucks.

My mom and brother are due to be vaccinated tomorrow, so many sleepless nights recently worrying about them and your post reminds me it’s not just the vulnerable who can die. Sometimes I honestly well up when I see the daily figures for deaths, it’s been 1900 some days, that’s 1900 families daily who are losing a loved one and I don’t think it’s going away for years yet. Keep strong delindsay and remember the good times.

So sorry to hear about ur friend DeLindsay. That’s terrible news. Especially that u have known him and been friends for such a long time.
It is a horrible virus that is ravaging the world. There is so much pain and sickness caused by this damn plague.
Hang in there. The virus can’t take the good memories u have of ur friend. :(

Sorry to hear about your loss, dude.

This pandemic has been absolutely awful, and taken far too many loved ones from far too many people. With vaccinations rolling out, there is a glimmer of hope for the future. But until around 60-75% of people can be vaccinated, it will continue to be rough for those who are not. =/

Last year, Jarod (the SouthPark cosplayer) thanked me for crediting him on WoW20. We kept contact since then.

At the beginning of this year I sent him a message to wish a Happy New Year. He replied and wished me the same.

Two days later I learned he died of COVID. We were not friends, but I was still shocked.

Life is short, enjoy it as much as you can.

Very sad to read this, the pain and loss are so real.
Glad you found a way to honor your friend though - hold onto those memories.
    Stay safe everyone.
