Calling people out for pvp vid

Xenkyro

Grandfathered
So some of you know I have been working on a 39 enh sham pvp video.
I have already got fraps dueling Scrub and Yorky. (Although Scrub I noticed because we were in a duel we didn't get and scaling item buffs so if you wanna redo hit me up)
I would like to call some people out to get some more content.

First off I would like to state I am not interested in stomping or getting stomped by any one. Looking for solid quality game play. I will post about 3 from each opponent. 1 win by them 2 by me. Mostly cuz its my vid :p.

So sorry if I misspell peoples names but Im looking to duel these folks.

DJfistgod aka Batts
Cheezel
Iggzxo
Moran... I want to fight your feral :0 Mission Imposible lol.
Also taking suggestions on a Ret to face. Ret Enh battles are always fun imo.

Any way I have tried to get some real ids out to these folks and I know Batts is in Japan, but Id like help reaching out to duel these peeps.
My Btag is in my Sig. lets do this.

focus shear
quick heads up that putting just focus shears in a video is boring and not especially skillfull nor fun to watch, Id really be looking forward to duels if u play mirror duels or vs something similar that could be very interesting.

- crit scenes are boring, it's not ~2007 anymore so most people aren't interested in big numbers
- world pvp is even more boring unless it's done correctly like close 1vX scenes against actual players around/above your level, killing a questing bot or some random level 25s isn't very entertaining
- "focus shear" is a standard in gameplay nowadays, putting a bunch of emphasis on using a focus macro in 2015 just looks bad

don't mean to be harsh, just my opinion

Agreed with this, to make clips pvp movie worthy nowadays it can't be about you pressing buttons.

The cool things are movement, positioning / coincidental things that happen to look awesome + you pressing your buttons perfectly in such a way that actually looks cool.

Focus sheer clips are like telling a joke, finding it isn't funny and explaining the punchline.

Edit: Duels etc are fun to watch though. Things that show individual 1v1 skill even when placed in full context are cool to watch, dotting 1-2 astronomically huge SS crits in as transitions is also pretty cool. Just remember the gameplay has to look cool not just feel good when you did it.

It's less cinematic and generally less complex now. No more vanishing blinds, csing vanishes, etc. Doesn't help that every class has moba-like 3 button rotations either. Makes duels feel less epic because there is less opportunity to display mastery.

The skirms could still be entertaining though. If you ever need an opponent I'm always down for arenas btw.

I have to say this has been incredibly helpful. Because I figured people wanted to see big crits, and I don't like to scumbag for big crits so getting footage of said "big crits" was getting to be a task. You are right about focus targeting and the like being average as shit, I simply didn't have the time to type most of the things Eclipsis said before work this morning. Thank you guys for the constructive criticism you don't need to apologize for being harsh especially if its the truth. Still looking to find a good ret to duel. As for lol enha shaman. I feel like any time you put yourself out there with a vid or on a stream you are opening yourself to the all the Internets lols, and your lol enh shaman is to be expected.

nah, for the most part I feel peoples attitudes towards crit montages has drastically changed in recent years

it used to be "whoa, he just crit that guy for 80% of his hp! cool!"
now it's more like "he just crit that guy for 80% of his hp, that's stupid as fuck"
