I only reacted to your post because your sentence made me stumble. My use of "wanna" didn't make you stumble. And my ellipsis was to bring more emphasis to the words that follow, so it wasn't unnecessary. I'd prefer a sentence with "informal language" than one that I have to re-read because you put in a random piece of punctuation that was incorrect. Second, I thought you were aggressive when you were telling everyone to "git gud." I'm still not going to agree with you that correcting the use of the word "wanna" in a casual sentence is the same as correcting the incorrect use of a semicolon. I am probably 95% sure that most people who read the word "wanna" on these forums understand what is being said immediately, yet the semi-colon probably throws more people off, considering it threw me off. Maybe I'm just stupid, or I might have been reading too deep into it, but I assumed that you used a semi-colon to indicate that you have proper grammar, yet it removed the logic from the sentence. The semicolon indicates that you are saying one of the following: "Also, that's some serve gatekeeping. You've got going on there." or... "Also, that's some serve gatekeeping, and you've got going on there." I'm not sure if you can realize how that can make someone stumble upon reading it, but if not then whatever. I'm making too big of a deal about it anyway. I only posted that because you seemed demeaning by replying to everyone, "git gud."
