BiS Guide Shadow Priest

All I can say is to just check armories. Some of them might be grandfathered toons with GF gear, but otherwise you should be able to find what you need.

More info would be lovely idd.

Glyph for 1orb DP

Spells no longer have any base damage, which means that 100% of your spells damage comes from spell power. Devouring Plague does 300% of your spell power in damage + another 100% over 6 seconds. On players with 4-5k HP you would have to have to have 1334-1667 spell power for DP to one shot. Factor in Mind Blast damage (180% of spell power), and you'd have to have between 833 and 1041 spell power for Mind Blast + Devouring Plague to one shot someone with that glyph.

Since the average caster/healer is sitting around 220 spell power, I would say that the Mind Blast glyph is terrible @ 29, considering it only gives you 3 orbs on the first time you hit your target with MB AND adds a 6 second CD to MB. Kinda of a waste if you don't kill your target in the opener. Probably worth if you go glass cannon build and farm F2Ps in skirms all day.

On a good day, with 225 spell power, you can expect to crit for about 1265 on DP and 758 on MB. If the stars align, you can get them both to crit and do about 2k dmg to someone.

I agree about 3orbs glyph, wasnt my first choice tho bcuz the mind blast glyph (silences the target if it successfully crit) wasnt on ah and still not. I prefer it as an undead priest.
Gearwise I heard there is a gloves from quest chain in azshara or ashenvale and cant remember the name of it.
Was hoping someone would mention here.

No, you never added me to btag :p

Rofl yeah i forgot that we communicated via skype chat instead of wow chat. Add Discpriest88#1145 mang.

it gives you 15% more physical reduction, so with 4680hp, thats like having 700 extra hp vs any physical class.

It's not 15%. It's only about 3%. And you're not comparing int vs armor, you're comparing stam vs armor. Even if it were resilience (reduces all damage, not just physical) instead of armor, 3-4% it's still not 'a million times better.' Using both the belt and the boots only nets about 6% physical damage reduction.

anyways, i just did a test, letting 4x lvl 14 mature hounds from RFC hit me for 10 minutes and look at the bottom and top physical numbers.
so that equals letting one mob hit me for 40 minutes.

with normal belt (nesingwary) i get hit for 48-71.
with AB belt i get hit for 43-64.

so thats roughly a 10% physical damagereduction from equipping the 22 extra armor from AB belt, in shadowform.

what the tooltip say, may be wrong, its not exactly unusual that happens.

thats the numbers atleast.

A lot of Tooltips are wrong. Best advice is to try something , write it down the. Swap stuff out and compare. What works for you doesn't work for the next person. I've seen people with the same gear and there be a 15k-70k difference in bgs in damage.

Skill is is going to outshine enchants and gear this patch. Skill can be defined from playstyle to out theorycrafting your opponent thru gearing or even scaling. This is why, this is the best patch ever :)
