Best level for Warlock

level 10 has chaos bolt
you can go 11 though, just lock before 25 percent of the xp bar.

Basically the 2 are not meaningfully different as long as if you go 11 you stay low on the xp bar (if you go above 25% you are weaker even with a talent), but slightly different rotation cause at 11 you can grab a talent to do whatever

10 may be slightly better (depending on spec too) in TW now, but we're talking very slight

I only had wsg items few quest bits and auction house loot like mindthrust etc. medicine pouch arena grand master etc. 13 for aoe, I shall look into that

there's an enemy scaling trick blizzard is doing, where, behind the scenes starting at level 11, until you are 25% of the way into a level on the xp bar, the enemies, even though they will show up as though they've leveled with you, their stats are actually a level behind (less health, etc.) it's something blizzard has obviously done to make you feel strong initially after a new level. All they've really done is mislead about where the "true" level break actually is, but it does accomplish their goal. So, the short version: all the enemies scale up once you hit roughly 25%+ of a level. This continues for several levels after but I don't know how long, I'd guess at least until 30 if not 70, though once you're at 70 you can't level lock anyway so it becomes a moot point

You mean Rain of Fire? I'ts technically AOE but it's expensive at 3 soul shards. And you take a real damage hit at 13 over 10-11.

This has really been my problem with Warlock as a twink: no good AOE unlike Holy Priest, Mage, Warrior, even Hunter, Monk or Druid.
Afflic also gets AOE in the form of Seed of Corruption, and Implosion for Demo (but it's not good either).

go 11 for riptide i say, just stay under 25% of the xp bar

edit: or chain lightning. I can't remember which talent side pops at 11 but either way those are the 2 you want
