Best geared 60 mage? Update

I ended up getting the wep I wanted, socket and wf. I also got the staff socket and wf. Got a socket neck, but the boa neck heal feels to nice to give it up.


Still hoping for off-hand/back/ring for sockets next year.

If anyone still has any input for better gear let me know.

What stat priority are you aiming for?

There's so much innate crit on the BC cloth gear that you don't need to stack it anywhere else. Especially as a mage.

For all mage specs you should be pushing for as much haste, vers and int as you can get.

if haste is the goal, then 5int/4hast gems should be used, if vers then 5int/5versa gems .. but i am not sure if mages use versa

Those are TBC heroic only drops ( Also un-tradable even in the same party ) - unless there's another recipe out there now or one that has changed since October last year.

@Thebullshift What's the end game with this mage - Max Spellpower? or Purples in every slot.

The TW / Event Epic Gear at lower levels is often a lower item level than the equivalent Epic quest reward procs. On a level 20 it's 8 item levels lower and statistically worse by a significant amount. You may be gimping your SP just for shinny Purples.

@hom haven't got game time on my 60's atm - Does the Original Therane's Touch have the same stats now as the TW Version? Used to be a straight 33 Spellpower no other stats.
