I'm coming up on my 100th run of Auchindoun first boss for some socketed rings, and not a single one. Don't even care if they are WF, just want some easy socketed rings.

You need to prepare yourself for just how many runs you need to do just to get another socket you honestly don't really need.

Let me put this in perspective: to gear 11 Fury Warriors I ran Underbog a ton of times but the sticking point was the https://www.wowhead.com/item=24458/studded-girdle-of-virtue from https://www.wowhead.com/npc=18105/ghazan#drops;mode:normal (second boss). I ran the first two bosses probably 100 times before I even got the belt to drop. Not the belt with a tertiary or a socket. Just the plain belt. I have no stomch to do every boss 100+ times just to get a slightly better version of the drop. If you do, more power to you.

Even without that, dungeons are trivial so what's the extra power for? PvP? That's not for me.

If you're a vet, the answer is farming the dungeons that are currently part of the mythic season and using the jewelers settings. If you're F2P then yea... socket runs can be brutal. 100+ runs in a TBC dungeon is, sadly, well within the average.

I agree to some people its not worth it. But Fomo is a bitch and at any moment something can be GFd because blizzard doesn't know how to stick with a system. Just depends what someone is willing to do with their time. There was a time where I was hellbent on BiS. I still am that way sorta, but I prioritize gearing semi-bis with multiple toons at different levels over complete bis on 1 toon. Pretty much not putting all my eggs in 1 basket.

Yeah I'm just venting more than anything, the RP in Auchindoun is annoying, but it is the fastest boss to get rings from. I'm in it for the BiS.

Just as an aside, are the Theater of Pain rings an option? Those you can add 2 sockets to right?
