How don't you know this lol? Also real life twinks are stereotyped for being in relationships with older men. Just like a twink in game they have a sugar daddy main to help them out.
I've also heard it said that twinks in games are called that because it's more politically correct than saying gay, (IE: lame, not sexually related) as twinks aren't fondly accepted by most levelers. A picture speaks 1000 words tho, so next time just click google images instead of reading a wiki

Im perfectly straight atm, but i do admit the ocassional sin of ommision at times... well, maybe for fictional characters, but not irl. (Edit: Also i googled gamer twink and now i cant look at twinking the same way again. By that mentallity, everyone is performing sodomy in BGs. This entire thread must be purged!)
If I recall, the History goes that "Twinks" was used similarly to what we'd call "Sugarbaby" today: a low level character that gets gifted expensive and powerful gear by another high level and rich one.
