Anyone know how much base-stat the Alchemist Flask gives in this bracket?

I use it on my war and it gives +33 Strength. Fantastic piece imo, just posted in the BiS Profession thread about Alchemy. Between the Flask and the Stone I think it's super underrated. Bonus: supply and make bank off pots.

relentless assault gives 40 ap, distilled wisdom gives like 59 int. that flask is better than nothing but only if you have nothing but that flask.

Black Lotus' are pretty expensive though & u lose the pot after the BG. Unless you want to throw money at 1 shotting levellers the alchemy pot is great & cheap.

Well, this is the thing. If I queue into a random BG I might put a weapon oil on or something because it's cheap and doesn't perish after the BG. If i could use an alchemist pot for free whenever I like then I'd use it all the time compared to an expensive pot that perishes.

I guess it depends what you do with your character. If you arena then it's a complete waste. If you do a lot of BG's it's pretty useful.
What other professions would you prefer over this?

speaking from the perspective(s) of lvl 70s, alchemy is a wasted profession slot due to hard khorium choker being bis (and pendant of the sunfire for casters), and eng is still the other bis proff due to ilvl being a thing still in heroics and raids.

at 70? that flask is apparently only giving 33 str/agi/int at lvl 79 much less at 70. the alternatives are relentless assault which is 40 ap, or disitlled wisdom which is 59 int, and the next best neck isnt even close to the jc ones.

in pvp, things are a little more forgiving, you could technicly drop eng for alch, but then youre missing out on sonic booster for melee.


what neck are you thinking to replace it with?

Engineering has tinkers, teleports, a trinket stun and high stamina trinkets. Vs 20ish+ main stat

Inscription is marginally better than the Aldor enchants for agility and strength dps, and the spellpower one is a lot better yes, but 2 ap and 2 crit increase or 5 sp and like 1 crit increase vs, good secondary’s on the jc specific necks( don’t know off the top of my head with squish now) maybe works

Incorrect, flask keeps scaling up all the way up to 90.it is then disabled at 91. The difference in ap between a consumable flans and alch flask is marginal - perhaps just 3ap at 79.

Well the hard khorium choker is 13 ap , 15 stam, 8 crit and 10 haste with 1 gen socket. Necklace of the deep is 12 agility 12 stamina 3 crit with 2 sockets. And inscription shoulder enchant is 2 ap and 2 crit gain. So let’s say we are gemming 5 agility 5 crit. You only lose 4 ap from using hkc vs necklace of the deep. Adding the shoulder enchant means jc vs inscription you gain (with neck of the deep) you gain 6 ap and 2 crit. But you lose 3 stamina and 10 haste. Hmmmmmmmm

he said it was 33 at 79. we know it scales up to 90. but it scales worse that the actual flasks, its just a cheap alternative.
