Okay, so as you might e-know, I'm making my first lvl 39 twink. I'm new to this.

I have a level 38 mage on Alliance that I decided to twink as I happened to have a character around that level in Classic WoW.

I'm going frost spec and I currently have:

I've been fully independent on Outofspace's guide. It has been a long grind and it feels surreal to be finally be done.

So now I am wondering if I have missed anything before I level up to lvl 39. Any TBC caster items? Any items that weren't mentioned in the BiS guide? Anything besides engineering items and https://classic.wowhead.com/item=17774/mark-of-the-chosen ?

instead of iridium circles get 2xcharged gear of eagle for the resists

Agree with scrub about the eagle charged gears if you have the stomach for it at this stage in the game. Maybe an ironshod bludgeon sometimes for fcing until you get wsg revered staff. Could also just do a 12/12 eagle green though. There are a couple caster items that become available phase 6 but they can be death run.

Thanks for the help guys, I've decided to not go for the https://classic.wowhead.com/item=9461/charged-gear of the eagle because the grind seems too long and I highly doubt I will even like 39s as a mage.

I'm predicting I'll face a shitton of hunter twinks who will use https://classic.wowhead.com/spell=3034/viper-sting and my only shield is https://classic.wowhead.com/spell=8495/mana-shield DDDDd so yeah, I want to put an end of this grind apart from some items I didn't think of. https://classic.wowhead.com/item=9408/ironshod-bludgeon was a good example, but being tanky has never been my playstyle.

Stock up on antivenoms for the stings

Mages run the show man, you don't need to worry. Keep your Anti-Venoms (both types - different CDs) and of course well timed Ice Blocks can help as well.

As fire mage at 39 i haven't had any problems at all with hunters, you can just deadzone them forever and they cant do anything about it.
