There are a few ways to figure out a Suffix'd item's base. One way is Wowhead. The base shows, and the suffixs show their % chance. The other way to figure it out is a little bit of comparing one Suffix to another Suffix of the same item and understanding how the suffix system works.

For Dark Iron rings if its a split suffix (Split being the stats its giving) it will give 10/10. If its a single stat suffix (like 'of Strength') it will give +16.

Suffix's never change in terms of what they give, just by how much. Eagle will always be Int/Stam split, and will always be equal in terms of value to another split suffix.

So my understanding is that suffix, is any piece that is "of the" for example his ring "of the eagle"

And example of a baseless Suffix'd item is my other ring, Sapphire Signet, which has no base stats at all.

My old comment got deleted for not "being on topic" yet others remain so I will repeat it.

@Arkant My suggestion would be to use the report feature on those posts you feel deserve deleting or editing. As it seems yours got reported and the other authors did not. Don't take it personal, considering the maturity level of many of the users that visit this site. Maturity level does not equate to age by the way. I have had hundreds of post deleted. Some simply because people did not like my stance on a particular subject. This post may very well get deleted again because of that. And I will post it again.
