69 DK twink

Hey!

On my way to get some awesome stuff for my new 69 twink unholy dk.

Wondering about a few items that got defense/parry rating instead of pure damage stats and would love to have your thoughts about whether I should go with the more defensive stats here or pure dmg?

Boots:

(121.0 damage per second)
+45 Strength
+68 Stamina
Requires level 1 to 80 (69)

parry is basically useless in pvp.
defense is very bad. it's only useful for cheesing miss rng but all you're becoming is a minor nuisance half 3% of all times when a cc misses.
just don't.

I havn't really found any good socket items that would outperform the northrend items.

So you would personally go for the leather then?

By going with these plate items I will have:
+2500 armor (-10% physical dmg)
+600 health
+115 strength (which gives 40 more in attack power in total)
+21 hit rating

By going with these leather items I will have:
+119 agility (4,4% crit chance)
+38 armor pen

I dunno really. Does it seem like a good idea to sacrifice all those defensive stats in order to have 4,4% higher crit and 40 less AP?

Plate > all for dk in pvp unless the piece is no brained better

By going with mail shoulders, leather gloves and boots instead of plate I ended up having exactly:
- 464 hp
- 4,5% less physical dmg taken (armor)
+41,5dps (probably more as numbers are taken from wowsims)
+2,2% crit
+12% armor penetration
+ faster weapon speed by 0,07 seconds

Here’s a guide to my Blood DK. Plate is useful but if you’re planning on going full dps/glass cannon you should check out TBC socket gear / level leather working and then drop it for WoTLK enchants and go Engineering/Inscription.
