    Does anyone have a BIS list for 49 hunters? I just acquired the epic bow Hurricane for nothing and I'm debating just making my hunter a twink. I'm not seeing a lot of blue BIS gear just searching around. Any help welcome!

    Thanks for reading!

    I would argue that the Hurricane bow is not best in slot for hunters, and rather Verdant Keeper's Aim would be significantly better due to the much higher weapon damage. I have a hunter build up in excel form pinned in my guild discord. You are welcome to check it out. Definetly do your own research though as I am human and overlook / make mistakes.

    Also, if straight dps is what you are after then the Precisely Calibrated Boomstick would be better.
    Hurricaine = 30.31 dps + (Explosive Arrows) 14.5 dps = 44.81 dps
    Precisely Calibrated Boomstick = 27.67 dps + (Rockshard Pellets) 18 dps = 45.67

    *I am also not even taking into affect the 14 agi which is 28 ap, and the added crit chance. So 14 agi = 28 ap = 2 dps bringing the boomstick up to 47.67 dps.

    I am pretty sure explosive arrows don't exist, and god bless anyone trying to farm a reasonable amount of rockshard pellets for a 1.5 speed gun.

    You 100% want to be using verdant keeper's aim as MM, but Hurricane is probably at least the same for BM (no idea about survival). Sniper scope adds 7 damage per hit which adds ~4.4 dps - flat damage scales a lot better with fast weapons. You'd prolly want to use biznicks on vka if its possible to apply it.

    You also will have better uptime on aspect of the hawk procs, and the hurricane proc is like 1-2 dps. This is one of those things that you'd have to test it out in game and pick which one 'feels' better.

    According to wow head explosive arrows were added in 1.13; made by engineers. I am not positive if it is in the game or not. This is just what I hadfound on classic wow head.

    If explosive arrow is not existent then it further separates the dps gap in favor of PCB.

    I agree farming or buying rockshard pellets would be a huge pain, and with that wpn speed you will use A LOT! However, if someone is dedicated, then that would be their BiS for highest dps. Which as you said may be good for a BM.

    Also, to my knowledge you can't have a high lvl apply biznicks as it is lvl 50 required. I can't find any one saying that they were able to apply it under lvl 50. In addition, the 3% hit is only ranged and does not affect melee after patch 1.10. So unfortunate.

    My reasoning for suggesting the VKA over Hurricane as a hunter is mainly due to the nature of kiting. When kiting the larger the hit in between running the opposite direction is so critical. Playing the distance game and getting the most impact hits in.

    Edit: If someone was to use Mithril Gyro Shots instead it is 15 dps to the Jagged Arrows 13 dps.
    Hurricaine = 30.31 dps + (Jagged Arrows) 13 dps = 43.31 dps + proc of 1 to 2 dps, 44.31-45.31
    Precisely Calibrated Boomstick = 27.67 dps + (Mithril Gyro Shots) 15 dps = 42.67 + (14 agility to ap to wpn dmg) = 44.67

    Mithril Gyro Shots shouldn't be difficult to come by in AH or having an engi make them in between droughts of the Rockshard Pellets.

    One, not wasting over a hundred gold on a rogue pre-raid bis gun, two, not farming ammo, three, Hurricane is stupid fast for constant procs. The purpose of this thread was not to argue about the bow I already have, but rather to figure out what other items I need.

    My feeling is that for pure dps builds, you are not going to want to be doing a lot of melee. Ribsplitter of Agility in mh is probably BiS.

    For more balanced builds, Ribsplitter of the Monkey in mh. And for 2h-centric Surv builds, I think what you are looking for is utility, primarily. I would use Glowing Brightwood Staff over the monkey staff, but that's just me.

    Hard to pass up 29 int. You'd lose about 5 top-end damage on Raptor Strike and gain it back on Mongoose Bite, since it's normalized.
