29 dps tests - single target lvl 1 dummy

I never thought of those target dummies. Can you clear the mobs by yourself on a 29 twink?

yes, atleast those classes i posted. you might die once or twice to the boss, but once you know his mechanics its fairly simple.

I tested MM too, but since it has higher critchance vs 100% hp targets, it cannot be used.

I can post one image though, were you can see atleast what it can crit for.

Single target DPS tests on the level 1 dummy in cathedral. Roughly 5-10 minutes test...

well, sadly I must admit that, so far at least, I have not made it past that first boss. I'm supposing there's a trick to it, but mayhap the trick is that Prot doesn't do enough damage to kill him fast enough... hmmmpppphhhhhh... suggestions? (yeah, I know... "go Ret"... )

only tried ret, so have no idea if prot would work for solo.
had to kite and heal alot with ret atleast, cant just tank and spank.

Switched to Ret, cleared all the mobs before the Boss, kiting, healing, staying out of purple...still dying so dang fast every time its crazy. I'm starting to wonder if the only way to get in is to have someone else party up and help... :/

I'd love to see a vid of a 29 Ret Pally soloing this boss... ;-)

So I finally just queue'd up and ran thru with a 5-man group, then went back to the single target dummy for half hour or so. Best I saw using Recount was 465 dps as Ret. I know I still need some better enchants... I did the best when stacking Crit/Haste.

So, I'm gonna go back in as Prot, run thru with a 5-man, then go hit the single Target Dummy for awhile and see what I come up with.

yeah that seems to be similar to what i got.
since i got 437dps with a non-dps ring and pvptrinket, and i found that adding a dps-ring gave roughly 20dps more, thats 457dps, and then add another haste-trinket and your at your max i guess.

The stuff I've had drop in there so far is only equip-able by 30+
