22k shard from IE

So either that’s a bug or Blizzard decided to start handing out multiple levels worth of azerite in one item. Regardless, looks like I gotta start spamming IEs.

Update: just checked reddit, a LOT of prople got these as well, and they went as high as a 50k humming azerite heart. Blizz fixed it unfortunately =\

Just got one about half an hour ago on my 110 DH, so unless the fix was in the last 30 minutes you can still get them

Edit: Definitely looking like it was a bug, seeing people say they were getting them every run. Remains to be seen if the AP gets rolled back or if there are people who are going to benefit from hundreds of thousands of free AP

So they'll be removing the azerite gains... lol GG Blizz, you sure know how to prioritize "problems". I didn't get to cash in on this bug but the people who did should get to keep the azerite imo.

Gonna be a bit salty if the gains are removed, i got like 3 of those bad boys in a row and got to level 34 neck on my 110 Boomy

Removing it is the correct option, as there are likely people at 120 who effectively got months worth of AP in 30 minutes. Losing a few levels on your neck as a 110 is barely any stat difference anyways, where as for the 120s it is going to be impacting azerite trait unlocks in the next raid tier. I don't like the system in general, but they absolutely are doing the right thing by rolling it back.

The way I see it is, there are some people who have been farming IEs and grinding AP for months to get their neck level up. Many of my twink friends spend over 8 hours a day in IEs in order to get their necks to 34. And then this 110 boomy up here does 3 expeditions and jumps from neck level 20-something to 34? And expects to keep it?
And in regard to 120s, there is a neck level leaderboard, in which some people have somehow managed to get over neck level 40. But if someone who was neck level 35 from casual dailies/IEs got lucky with a few of these gems, he/she could have jumped up to the top 10 spot with little to no effort.
Sure, Blizz screwed up by letting this happen. But it makes sense to remove the gains, considering many people have put hundreds of hours into grinding their neck level and suddenly get surpassed by others who “got lucky”.

Would be interesting to see what would happen if you deleted that character with bugged azerite gains and restored it in a month or two.

It might be too late for that now, but if I had gotten that much AP you damn sure better believe I'd be deleting and restoring at a later date
