20s Dragonflight enchants

When does the change take place for ilvl and therefore the date which we need to enchant our gear by? Is it Tuesday?
As I understand the consensus on this website is that the most likely date is 15 Nov.

[doublepost=1668073366][/doublepost]Does anyone have recommendations (other than the ones already posted, thanks) on specific weapon enchants for any specific class with the new DF talents or more general recommendation(s)? I'm interested in 20's, mainly for PVE.
E.g.
Crusader vs Elemental Force
Major Spellpower vs Elemental Force
Dancing Steel vs Elemental Force
Mighty Agility vs Superior Impact vs Elemental Force
for different classes?
Since I can't test them, my guess is maybe Elemental Force for classes with heavy multiple target DoT dmg and Crusader / M Spellpower for single target instant dmg classes?
Crusader used to be a no-brainer but not any more in DF as per previous posts.
I'll have multiple weapons where I can, one with each enchant, but some of the weapons are unique so can only have one.

If you like PVE,
Druid is a mixed case.
On one hand Ele force is cool and procs often due to the nature of Druid dealing lots of small hits but it quickly loses values compared to other fast-attacking classes because you can skip most of the trash with cat form
The +13 attack power is also pretty good and I feel like I downing bosses faster this way but the overall power increase we should see in Dragonflight makes static numbers less attractive due to them being a smaller percentage of our attack/spellpower
Sadly I don't have any numbers to give you cuz I use Skada and it still doesn't work ); so it's basically just how it felt to me

For Resto Shaman (got damage buffed by 20%, *happy Shaman main noises*) I think Major spellpower beats ele force since you fire off big nukes (really big nukes) of around 1800 damage on a crit for a lighting bolt on my meh-geared orc with the orc racial of +15 intellect.

Ele force is your go-to for Demon hunter since most of your single target damage comes from auto-attacks. I think I used to have 12% of my DPS coming from it on bosses but it's been 2 months since I last did a dungeon with my DH so I vaguely remember the numbers.

Aaaaand I'm not gonna say more on the other classes because I play them much less. Also kinda hyped to try the BFA weapon enchants.

Many thanks for your insights, I can see the passion there.

I'll have multiple weapons where I can, one with each enchant, but some of the weapons are unique so can only have one.

Warriors, Paladins, DKs will want to have Rivendare's Blade with Crusader enchanted before the 15th. Dragon's Call and/or Ironfoe for 1 hand users aswell.

Enhance wants to have an Ironfoe enchanted with Eleforce aswell.

For druids, Ele, SP I can say for sure that the same goes for Blade of Eternal Darkness, with Ele Force.

Alot of Enchants loses power and can be overlooked in several slots without it being doomsday.
But weapon enchants stay very strong. So this is a must.

Also yes! The 15th is 99,9999% the date where this takes effect, since that is when pre-patch phase 2 starts.

Asking for a lazy friend, are the WoD epics GF'd after Tuesday Nov. 15th with Phase 2, or only on release of DF at the end of the month? Also, with enchanting those epics, will they be enchantable at all after the change? Or do we have to enchant beforehand because of ilvl change only for bis enchants?

WoD WF gear will not be gf'ed! None of the epic gear will be, unless there are outliers in other Xpacs that I am unaware of.
The gear just won't be enchantable after the 15th when the item level change hits.

Whats the alchemist flask giving on beta/PTR?

Flask:
-Alchemist's Flask = 7 main-stat

-Greater Arcane Elixir = 10 SP and 3 Crit.

-Elixir of Mongoose = 8 Agility and 3 Crit

-Elixir of Fortitude = 60 hp.

Classic Cooking:
-Juicy Bear Burger = 3 intellect.

-Smoked Desert Dumplings = 4 Str.

-Grilled Squid = 2 Agi.

-Mightfish steak = 2 stam.

-Lemon Herb Filet = 1 Vers.

Oils & stones:
- All Wizard Oils, Sharpening & Weight stones are GF'ed due to our high itemlevel weapons.

I'll add this to the OP
[doublepost=1668088105][/doublepost]
Note: Post-launch or Pre-launch is referencing 15th of November. Wich is when the pre-patch event, and the new Chromie updates are likely scheduled to kick in. Hence why you can't test the scaling changes on the PTR yet.
So even though pre-patch is set to start on the 26th of October, Not all changes will kick in untill the 15th of Nov.

Neck:
Satyr is still a safe choice, yet it must be enchanted before launch.
For Mastery junkies, swapping to Mark of the Trained Soldier before launch might be worth it.

Shoulders:
Still Northrend Inscription.

Note that you'll also have to enchant pre-launch to make use of it.
I'd say its worth it to put the enchant on now, regardless of your current proffessions.
Since it's the only shoulder enchant in the game, and will be Grandfathered post-launch

Cloak:
Pre-enchanted: Mainstat, as before
Post-launch: Higher level Blue enchants.

Chest:
Same as before. Gives 3 of all stats

Bracer:
Less value, same as before

Gloves:
Spell power:
Less value, still same
Attack Power:
Less Value, still same
Mastery:
Less value, still same

Legs:
Leatherworking! If you have your favored off-stats with 3xSlot gear, it'll be BiS in DF aswell. So it's important to have it enchanted Pre-launch.

Ilvl 95 quest-epics from SL zones, are the only items that will trump this.

Boots:
It was at first my idea that mainstat enchants give 2+ across the board. This seems to be wrong. i might have to come back to edit, on agi enchants. but as it seems right now, Boar's Speed is set to be an allround safechoice.

Stamina:
Boar's speed: Minor speed + 2 stam
Agility:
Assassin's step: Minor Speed + 1 agi.
Off-stat:
All seem to give only 1 stat (with or without Minor speed) - Might be edited.
Vers:
Enchant boots - Greater Versatility: 2 vers

Rings:
[ Enchant Ring - Accord of ____] - Can be enchanted post-launch, and WILL be your go to.

Weapon:
Weapon enchanting will change if you haven't enchanted pre-launch.

Pre-Launch:

-Crusader
-Major Spell Power
-Elemental Force
- All old Agility Enchants.
- Mark of Shadowmoon. - Not that insane for the time being. Seemed decent on beta.

Note: All pre-BFA enchants will be gf'ed if not enchanted pre-launch. I decided to still leave some of the more notable above.

Post-Launch:
BFA Weapon enchants will now scale with our higher item level weapons!
We might still be able to access Shadowlands Enchants aswell, for those who know how to do it.

Off-hand/Shield:

Same for Off-hand Int users. Needs to be equipped pre-launch.

Shields:
Seems to be the same as before. But I might change this.

Additional info:
I'll try to add other additional information about questions answered earlier in this thread here.
Nothing is a stupid question, as long as it's not allready answered by the OP.

Final words:
This thread will be open to requests! If there are enchants you'd like to have tested or added to the list, feel free to suggest.
Aswell as general questions I'd be able to answer regarding the current beta-build.
[doublepost=1668090536][/doublepost]I've added an additional info paragraph to the OP, since the questions in the thread stray abit out from the main-topic.
Wich is no worries, since I have the means to test things properly, I don't mind providing much needed information.

I've added Pots/flasks/food/oils section, aswell as correct item level information. I'll be adding things to the additional information tab, as I'm answering questions in this thread.
So don't be hesitant to skim through the OP again whenever you revisit the thread :)

All pre-BFA enchants will be gf'ed if not enchanted pre-launch. I decided to still leave some of the more notable above.
This is an annoying as fuck change. Not to fill an informational thread with bullshit but it's actually ridiculous that they can't just scale things correctly. :Sadge:

Great research and information Baked :PeepoGlad:

I agree, ngl.
Luckily most enchants will be outdone with 1 gemslot, since the stats they give scale so much lower than before.
And as I mentioned earlier, the big exceptions are Satyr and (for some classes) Weapon enchants.

Ranged Hunters and Holy Pala are good examples on classes that won't be affected much, since the post BFA weapon enchants will do great.

It'll do us more work and less gold drain eventually, if it stays this way. Wich was always fine by me. But I have a feeling we are gonna have a lot of saltybois who missed out on gf'ed stuff regardless x)

Whats the alchemist flask giving on beta/PTR?

I'm not in the Beta/PTR but this week patching during the Korrak's Revenge/Solider of Time event as a F2P 20, the flask effect was DISABLED when I went into the BG and being pseudo lvl 60 - it would not work! Equally other non-healing potions had a lvl requirement still said I was too high or low to use them.

I've heard about Mage Tower items dropping ilvl120, is this also going to GF'd or is it only available AFTER the patch? Do you have any information on this and whether we should be or even can get gear from here and enchant it before phase 2 release?

My apologies for the misunderstanding, I was the one who saw you in front of Strat. What I meant by my hasty comment is that on beta, the Mage Tower challenges cause your gear to scale to iLvL 120, therefore I believe we can expect that enchant iLvL requirements will *eventually* be adjusted in a similar manner. Weather it happens before phase two or not... I can't say. So if you have the nervosa, enchant your gear now before the patch.

My 20 fury warrior soloed ZF easily, tho slowly, due almost entirely to crusader procs off whirlwind. Have it on something as a backup, IMO... even for maybe rogue/enh/monk for soloing? I havent tested it and baked might chew me out again.

Unless there's a better heal proc hidden somewhere in the OP that I apparently havent read since it posted 3 weeks ago.

Let me guess, BFA/SL have one and I didnt read WoW. :KappaW:

For Fury there is nothing else but Crusader. Im sure one could look for some replacement, but with how good Crusader is for both utility and output, its not worth it to change.

I used to have Crusader on the Feral druid artifact, when soloing as Guardian druid. It was fine, since my guardian build is half-assed. But it ain't optimal at all

This has always been the case

I noticed on my Blood DK that Fallen Crusader was slightly better than Crusader. Seems because of the higher ilvl and higher Str it pushed it slightly ahead of Crusader.
Even the heal was better because of the health pool. This can be done post the 15th if required.

Added this ^ thats giga

Ele Force is great asf. Lines perfect with Satyr and Blade of Eternal Darkness, wich will be my BiS next Xpac.
Major SP will only give 8 SP in open world. So it might be fair to assume that Ele force will take it's place for a few casters.

List of BFA-enchants:
https://wowpedia.fandom.com/wiki/Battle_for_Azeroth_enchanting_formulas

Tested Mark of the Shadowmoon for Resto druid. The procrate is good. It procs off of anything, including the Skeletons from Book of the dead. Gives 17 Versatility and gave me roughly 3 procs per minute.

Coastal Surge seems ridiculously bad, ngl.
Any caster dmg class and specialisation that would benefit more from major spellpower than ele force on blade of eternal darkness paired with satyr?
I'm wondering I should probably use m spellpower for destr lock for big chaos bolts. However, overall dmg may drop compared with ele force if all damage is taken into account.
Also ele force seems to be better for affliction and demonology.
Probably ele force for all mage specs, def. balance and shadow priest.
Probably elemental force for BM monk, mighty agility for WW and surv hunter?
Do you reckon the weapon dmg booster enchant (called superior impact if I remember correctly) will still be best for feral?

[ Enchant Ring - Accord of ____] - Can be enchanted post-launch, and WILL be your go to.
We cannot enchant blue items with this such as Electrocutioner's Lagnut which is one of the BiS items depending on the set you're running. What is the suggested enchant for a ring like this that cannot use Accord of ____, and will we need to have it enchanted before Tuesday or are ALL ring enchants doable after?

Anyone know if Mark of the Trained Solider Rank 2 still drops for a F2P 20?

Been farming the PVP mobs in Stormheim/Highmountian since last patch and not seen it drop yet. Learnt Rank 1 and my DK character does not have Rank 3 in inventory.

Post launch means after 15th. With the new item level scaling, it will be applicable and our go to

I wish I could answer that. But I've mostly been a p2p pleb, and full time since SL launch.
But if you feel iffy about it, I'd say its safe to say that Satyr is like Ele force and will always be a great choice for almost any class.
Same cannot be said for enchants that give flat stat, when it comes to permanent outcome. Since they do tend to change alot with every squish or new introductions to TW-content.

I usually would not use an argument like that as my reasoning for why someone should make a choice, but given the 'permanent' type of situation we got going, I felt it was okay to put it out there :PeepoGlad:
