15's?

I noticed that once I hit ten and start queuing for BG's, I scale to 19 in the BG. I also noticed I am pretty good at 10 even with crap gear - but no real reward at 10 so I pressed on and I turned my XPOFF at 15 so I could queue and get the crate just to mess around. I am not even fully geared yet (for example, no green lens) and I am usually about 3-4 in total damage for my team. Has anyone experimented with how this scaling works? Is it better to stay at 15 or go to 19 and why? I am guessing it is better to go to 19 because I really don't see any chatter about 15 around here.

The crate gear would be less Ilvl and have less stats when looted by a level 15.
 
15’s are still a thing, while not as common as they used to be of course.
 
From what I was told; tens can loot crates. Perhaps you need to ques with 19s. Nothing from the 10s forum was 100% confirmed, however if your looking to test.

Try to run dead Mines or RFC as ten to see if dungeon gear scales below 15. Eons ago a dear friend of mine twinked at 14 back when Wingblade was around.

To answer all questions
1. Tens can get Bg crate gear by queuing with someone above level 15
2.No 10s can’t get any dungeon gear
3. 15s are a thing and they have better secondaries than 19s just like 1 or 2 less abilities
4. Personally I would say go either 15 or 16 but if u want to be like everyone else go 19. My 16 I used in legion was pretty nice

Also I don’t play much anymore so 16s could be complete dog shit now so idk haven’t updated mine yet

Haste rating needed for +1% haste:
level 10 1,98
level 15 2,43
level 16 2,81
level 19 3,15
(according to some armories I bumped to on this website)
So if you go for secondaries, the best choice may be level 10 BUT you dont have access to same gear as level 19 and therefore it is possible that 19s can get more haste % than 10s. Questionable, but worth trying for PvE swag.
In instanced PvP you are scaled up so it is impossible to get better secondaries % than 19.

That’s why I do 16/15 depending on class because it’s almost exact same gear and same abilities as 19s but outside of ipvp we have better secondary stats
