    I've found it fun to switch XP Off at lvl 29 right after I ding, gear the toon and then hop in - I't's kinda fun, I've also been playing more end game but all in all it works out fine.

    Considering the fact that Blizzard made it clear that the separation is due to a mismatch in Toon Stats/Gear etc I am quite sure it will not be long before they find a solution to the F2P loophole, they are making it clear they don't want the mismatch - luckily this is low priority for them; so...
