Your conclusion is correct. The biggest alliance servers in Europe are Twisting Nether and Magtheridon. I also believe that some of the aggramar players have alts on Spinebreaker, but I rarely see anyone playing there nowadays.

No, there are not many horde f2p's on Twisting Nether, I'm afraid. A few of the alliance players do have some horde alts on the server I believe, but they are not played very often as far as I know. You can always reroll or make an alt on the alliance side if you're looking for others to play...
