Depends what you are looking to do with it, I would say that its a bit late to start farming gear now, you have just over 2 weeks left before the anniversary event ends and in my experience it will take a lot longer than that to get the pieces you need (unless you are extremely lucky)...

The only way I know of to get 300's is from the bfa quest lines. The way it works is each zone has 2 pieces(6 total) and 1 from war campaign making it a total of 7 available, not all of them are 300's. The first 4 you receive will be 285 and the last 3 will be 300's. Here is a detailed guide...
