EU+US Strongest Classes with Legion Patch

I am wondering what people's opinions are of what strong DPS are since the legion patch?

Particularly survival hunters and outlaw rogues, but it's good to know some others. I want to start 70 bgs again.

Duels or instanced pvp? Nobody has really tested a whole lot of instanced pvp since there are massive hit issues due to missing scaling (which we're assuming is a bug).
Seems like every class has really broken damage in duels.

As far as I've seen no classes at level 70 seem to do crazy damage in instanced pvp. 79 is a different story.

79 pretty op atm then?

Yes. Largely due to 70s not being able to hit them at all, but also due to a few extra abilities and the addition of mastery to their pvp stat template.

Might go 79 on my 69 DK then ;)

Affliction warlocks seem to do an obscene amount of damage...

This HAS to be a bug, because while 10's miss against 19's since 7.0 in BG's we only miss about 10-12% and even then steamroll 19's now due to Secondary Stat Scaling since we no longer scale up to 19. I'd be curious to see some Recount SS's of 70's in BG's showing the miss % against 79's, though I realize that's not an easy task unless the ENTIRE opposing team is 79's lol. If I ever get any time I'll hop on my 70 Twink Hunter and test for myself but this new Cinema we're working on building is consuming my life atm.

Although I'm sure we're missing more than 10-12%, I'd say that even 10-12% would be gamebreaking. Especially in arena where an ability like blind or freezing trap missing can easily sway the result of the game.

The reason I'm assuming the hit issues are unintended is because they changed the pvp brackets from 0-4 back to 0-9 because of the scaling system. Removing the scaling system while keeping the brackets 0-9 wouldn't make sense. Also they are pushing for a balanced pvp experience, and removing the scaling system seems to be very counterproductive to that goal.

Mind you I'm not disagreeing that having ANY miss chance is bad @Onlydreams I'm just making the point that in the 10-19 Bracket 10's are STILL steamrolling 19's even WITH that miss chance. If we had zero miss chance and retained our secondary Stat Scaling no 19's would ever que again lmao.

IMHO while inside Instanced PvP there should NEVER be any miss chance from any Character to another Character regardless of Level gap. A Game Company cannot say they're Balancing PvP while leaving some Levels disparaged, and yes that includes 10's Secondary Stat Scaling being superior to 19's as well.

If 10s were to scale up to 19 with the level scaling they wouldn't have high secondary stats anymore.
While common sense would support your comment, unfortunately it seems as if over the past 11 years Blizzard has perma Banned the phrase "common sense" at their HQ and when the Devs go to fix something I'm pretty sure it goes something like this"

8 Devs standing in a room with their backs against a wall. 7 of them are Blindfolded and the last is their Guide; the Guide Dev has 20/200 Vision. On the opposite wall, 12 feet across the room, there is a Cork-board. This Cork-Board has a series of handwritten scribbles on post-it notes that are something to the effect of:
  • Fix PvP once and for all, because Players aren't enjoying it right now.
  • Add more Toys for Players to enjoy.
  • Add more Pets and Mounts to the Online Store for Players to Purchase.
  • Add even more functionality to the new Transmog UI.
  • Add several new Dance Moves to various Races for Players to enjoy.
  • Rehash even more old Gear Skins and call it NEW for Legion's release, because now it's BLUE!!.
  • Come up with ideas to affirm to Players that we actual care about them, just nothing concrete so we don't HAVE to do it.
  • Remove even more Game features and call it "Pruning for better Gameplay".
  • And 20 more bad ideas but I've lost all creativity at this point ;)
Each of the 7 Blindfolded Devs are holding one single Dart. The Guide Dev asks each Blindfolded Dev in turn what they really want to do for the WoW Community and then tries to direct that Dev to aim near the correct post-it note and lets them throw. Each Dev gets their turn and after all 7 have thrown the Guide Dev instructs them to remove their Blindfolds and witness the results.
  • 3 of the 7 Darts hit nothing.
  • Of the 4 remaining Darts 2 hit the same post-it note, Barbi Dress-up!!
  • 1 of the final 2 Darts hits the corner of 2 post-it notes that accidentally were placed on the board overlapping, Rehashing old Skins for Legion and Adding more Toys.
  • The final Dart hit the Lead Developer in the leg, who was overseeing the fun, and consequently all 8 of those Devs were fired and Blizz hired all new, never worked on WoW before Devs, to MAKE WOW GREAT AGAIN!

From what I heard the item level of a weapon still matters, so you might be better off getting a two-handed weapon near 70 with a 3.7 speed, than a 4.0 weapon from level 60.

That's what I heard, no clue if it's true :D

Item level only matters when it exceeds the (bracket) average ilevel because both the level 60 and level 70 weapon will be raised to (183?) for the 70 bracket.

I noticed when using http://www.wowhead.com/item=44050/mastercraft-kaluak-fishing-pole
it improved my shred damage and swipe but not my bleeds in feral.
Not sure if this would be bis for other melee because of how feral weapon association works differently. I've had it since wtlk when weapon dps was all that mattered for kitty so not sure if it has gone back to including that mechanic or if it is just purely an ilevel thing (ilevel 200)

Will do some proper testing with actual numbers tonight after work.
