EU+US Legion Invasion

What are the reasons for doing the Legion invasions on the Prepatch on your twinks (any level)?

Afaik you will get several pieces of gear, but since they dont have a high iLvL they won't affect your stats in PvP.

So is it just all about that mog? Get a full cloth, leather, mail and plate set? And if so, wouldn't you be able to just do the invasions on your mains and use the tmog tab on your twinks?

1. Unobtainable is unobtainable and most people would like the opportunity to say that they own a Gfed item (when the invasion finishes).
2. Has great stats for world pvp / duels.
3. High level looking items but usable at low level

The Stat Template in PvP uses your overall iLvl NOT your iLvl per piece. Therefor, the Cloth Bracers from the Legion Invasion event are BiS as they are the highest iLvl bracers for Cloth wearers.

What ilvl do they have?

And overall ilvl = average ilvl = every piece does count

No shit. But increasing your iLvl in 1 piece by 100 or 10 pieces by 10 doesn't matter as your overall / average iLvl is what counts, not the amount of iLvl you have in 1 piece. Currently you need to get your iLvl above certain thresholds, so this does matter.

Also when did I mention average iLvl or that each piece doesn't count? I said the PvP template uses your overall iLvl NOT your iLvl per piece. There's a huge difference, as I explained above.

The iLvl is 24 on the Legion Invasion Items.

all invasion event gear is the same ilvl as heirlooms for your level

Was just stating it for everyone's sake.

Do we know how long it would take to get a complete invasion set? IE realistically how many toons could we expect to be able to gear in the time frame?

In ptr i think the chances of getting a similar piece of gear i.e. double chests are reduced from what ive experienced.

but you need need to have over ilvl 24 to gain more stats yes? and if u get 0.5% stats for every 10 ilvl u need either 34,44,54,64 to get more stats?

Hello friends. Let me explain the way that iLvl will work in PVP.
1. Leaving an empty slot counts as 0 ilvl for that slot.
2. All gear regardless of quality (common, uncommon, epic, ect.) will scale to a minimum of a certain iLvl per Bracket.
3. Any item that has a iLvl Above that brackets minimum iLvl will retain its current ilvl and give you a % bonus to your stats.

Now in regard to the legion invasion gear.
The gear seems to have the same iLvl as your heirlooms. Heirlooms usually have the "minimum iLvl" of gear in a certain bracket. (ie. 24 at lvl 19 ect. )

So what does that mean ?
Currently the invasion gear seems to be no better stat wise than any other piece of gear below the minimum iLvl. At the moment the invasion gear only provides a unique look for your character, Possibly better stats in pve, ability for mages to have a 1h weapon + ofhand weapon combo for PVE, and bragging rights for later on.

Sorry if I missed anything but I hope this gives you guys a nice concise answer to any q's you got.

ye i know this, but u get more stats if ur average item lvl is increased by 10? meaning u would need to be above 34,44,54 etc to gain more stats? So having 34 ilvl and 41 ilvl would be the same or no?

Does anybody know, if Invasion gear has mastery for all classes or just hunters? I did Invasion event multiple times on hunter and every item I got had mastery on it.

Can someone link all the available invasion gear because on my rogue i only kept getting chest legs feet belt and hands.

Yeah. But 24 iLvl increases your avg. iLvl more than 23 iLvl does. Hence why they'll be BiS. A lot of people believe that the item needs to be above iLvl 24 to give you stats in PvP which is just wrong. :p

Having an increase of 1% stats won't give you any stamina if your base stamina is 7 for example as it'll increase your stamina by 0,7. 1 iLvl will give you 0,1% so in the case of having base stamina of 7, you'd need 15 iLvl to gain 1 stamina.
Now the distribution of your stats is also taken into account.
