Cata because the gameplay was sped up yet the various specs hadn't been hopelessly streamlined yet.

Having twinked in every xpac, I do have some nostalgic feelings towards TBC and to some extent Vanilla as well. But I certainly feel like Cata was the best xpac in regards of PvP game play @19, even though it sucked major dik in every other aspect.

But as Buns said, WoD has been the most competetive xpac, for both NA and EU 19's.
 
Burning Crusade was hands down the pinnacle for 19 twinking. Wrath was also good, but everything after those two were quite awful.

Trendy and I were doing between 1 and 3 premades a week for like 2 years back in TBC/early WotLK on Nightfall. We kept activity high by offering TCG rewards for capping on us or beating us (we had a guild member who worked for a distributor of the TCG cards). We ended up having to give out TCG tabards to people who we thought deserved it because neither of the aforementioned happened.

I don't know what other people's premade schedules were like, but we were the only premading alliance guild in a battlegroup of 5-6 premading horde guilds and no expansion will ever top that activity again.
 
I believe there's a significant distinction between 'plebmades' and actual guild v guild premades. These were far more prevalent in past expansions. The bracket was only competitive in the months leading up to the twink cup. With that said, I'd have to disagree with wod being more competitive and premade heavy than all other expansions combined - that's a bold statement.

For all the brackets I played, I think Wotlk was the best overall. I don't think I'd ever have anything bad to say about BC. Cata was alright. Wod is appalling.

Yeah NO MERCY had premades constantly on live and PTR after wrath all the new age twinks rolled in and all the old school ones quit.
 
yo hired that u? been a long time!

i think wrath was the greatest... warrior were at their peak with 10 second shield block cooldown, rogues were fun as hell with all the rvr going on... profession buffs were awesome, exploit shoulder and helm enchants. it was just a great great time for twinks.

or maybe that was BC i dont know im old

Oh damn it's been forever dude! I've been good just waiting for 19 Legacy servers to come out to play BC but this will do for now
