EU+US The Big Thread Of Tips (20's)

Broken

Legend
Playing a few games on my F2P recently, I've realised I've gotten seriously rusty now. Instead of just asking for a few tips, I thought it'd be cool if we created a thread dedicated to sharing tips. Those little things that might not deserve their own guides but you think are still super helpful / necessary.

Doesn't necessarily have to be PvP-related. It could be anything that people could find helpful.

I'll add all your comments in the first / second post. I'll also try to add stuff as I play a few more matches!

P.S. If this thread kicks off, we could try it in other brackets as well!

Let the Necro Thread Feast Begin!

Tip:
Wands are better than 2handers in instanced PvP

One time I read on the lvl20 Discord that a player used to call his pets "whisper me" to catch the attention of subscriber accounts. Not a revolutionary tip, but it can be interesting to us.
Variation on this was naming my pets "port to shrine" and poking a mage, then pointing at pet.

High levels cant see our /say but they can see our emotes.

Even if necro, I still think this is a good thread idea.

Whisper Me pets mentioned before.

You can bubble and bandage to heal if you’re oom as pally

This tip was the first PvP tip I received back in the day and I still use it and it helped me immensely: use your HoJ when enemy is low health for execute potential.

If you’re carrying a flag as rog and one enemy is incoming, drop stealth sap and repick. I saw Mocha do it a lot in 19s.
When I played rogue I replaced my stealth with a macro:

#showtooltip Stealth
/cancelaura Horde Flag
/cast Stealth

This is pretty basic for most people but i didnt put it together until recently.

Mobs dont jump. So if you aggro a high level mob, going over terrain that requires a jump can create a gap big enough to get you to safety.

In Eye of the Storm bases are usually more beneficial than fighting mid for flag. In Warsong Gulch offense is stronger than defense, i find it more important to have the team focus the enemy flag carrier over defending our flag carrier.
