Insane Burst - top classes for burst damage

In my honest opinion, probably the DK based purely on their ability for DPS output & tanking capabilities. I have a MM hunter and it feels a bit stale in that the rotation isn't fluid enough to consistantly output high damage. It's like you open hard, then invest into regenerating focus & then you fire a few more hard hits out & rinse/repeat. To me a constant pressure is a far greater threat. I'd go with either the DK or destro lock, as destro has the ability to control small groups and hit multiple players simultaneously for 75% of their health pool....

BM or SV are shit like MM?

BM is great, and more often than not a BM hunter will out-do a MM hunter in the charts based purely on (from what I have seen) the BM rotation. BM uses barrage a LOT more than Marksman does - as Chimera/Aimed Shot take priority in most scenarios. BM pet damage is pretty solid, but the raw damage the actual player does on top of that is still substantially high, especially with barrage. I personally don't like playing BM because I, again personally, prefer to be the main source of the damage I deal rather than relying on a pet. Marksman I feel is a more controlled source of output.

As for survival, well I haven't really seen any survival hunters & haven't tried it in the bracket myself. I would say that there's a good reason for that, and that it's not a just by chance. From what I have picked up, It's the big crits and surprise burst which really catches opposing players off guard, and survival is more of a consistent rotation that, even with procs etc, doesn't offer that same type of burst that BM or MM would.

Thanks.. last question.

Prideful bow or 705 weapon? im using prideful weapons on rogue + contender and when 715 alchemist trinket proc is 60k envenom crit.

I'm an advocate for the crafted weapon. From what I know about rogues, their abilities don't scale as well with weapon damage, which is why it makes sense to use Prideful. As for Hunters, I've found I hit harder with the crafted weapon.

So I decided to go for a shadow priest aswell and have a few question about what gives the best burst.

I am going to stop at lvl 91 for a bit (considering going to 92 to see what perk I get) and want to know what three crafted pieces are going to be the strongest.

I am currently considering wep (obviously) and the sandman so pouch and stone of elements. The crit proc will give me 100% crit and the Int proc will be a huge boost.

I will be looking at both pve and pvp so I might consider getting two pvp trinkets a two other crafted pieces along with contenders etc.

Any advice people want to offer would be really helpful and appreciated.

Crit proc will not give 100% in bgs or arenas.

I know the crit proc won't give 100% crit in pvp which is why I added that I would look at the 2 pop trinkets and other gear for pvp.

That being said it is worth getting both trinkets or should I consider other things

I personally would take the alchemy stone and the "Talisman of Ephemeral Power" which is a scaling on use trinket that provides 1008 spellpower

I wanna try going straight primary stat on all gear and see how it goes - equip nothing but level 8 gear with say just agi or int or strength and nothing else. Bet it will be interesting. Contender's 4pc might be the exception as that seems kinda mandatory for any dps spec. On my sham I went 4pc contenders, 2pc conquerors worldbreaker (20% SS and LL) and 2pc Frost Witch (12% dmg while shamanistic rage is up). When usedm, Frost Witch set bonus seems to up the high-end damage in bg's from 3400 to 3800. I have trouble downing heal spec priests but everything else is at least killable if played correctly. Overall though the damage output is nowhere near my warrior's except when like all cooldowns are up.

armories:
Quixt @ Sargeras - Community - World of Warcraft
Quixt @ Illidan - Community - World of Warcraft
Quixi @ Illidan - Community - World of Warcraft

Still need a few things on these twinks, and working on a druid. Nothing matches destro for sheer carnage of course.. dark soul chaos bolts hit 90-100k much of the time.

I saw an amazing arms warrior profile the other day but am having trouble relocating it. Name is "Bloods" with all weird characters on US servers. Guy has like 150% mastery and I bet destroys everything he touches. If anyone has a link to that armory, I would love to see. OP, you might want to consider arms warr. Mastery can get pretty ridiculous.

My arms war is nearly complete. Horde Frostmourne server called Foof. I can confirm I have yet to be beaten in damage meters and dps meters, normally top 3 in KB's. I sit at an average overall dps of 18k. I feel of all the classes arms war has the highest burst (I've been rivalled by smart/geared ferals and fire mages though).

I prefer arms to fury purely because with Fury I feel a large portion (~40%) of my overall damage is made up from Bladestorm. I prefer to less reliant on a single button. With arms my damage is about 25-30% bladestorm, 30-40% Execute and the rest Mortal Strike. MS crits for about 80-90k, <20% Executes for about 70-80k and >20% Executes for well, sometimes in excess of 220k.

The only downside to arms, and it is a big one, as that I'm VERY squishy. That's why I normally run with a healer or stick close to a random healer at all times. In which case I'm virtually unstoppable.

Lots of fun, high intensity gameplay, heavy burst. The best thing about arms is that I see very few of them. In my experience in this bracket >80% of warriors are Fury.

Anyone test out destro lock damage? Or is it trash compared to afflic?

Here is a great video of many classes and specs, but they are level 100. The guy does a good job by using the sam character as a target and recruiting some of the higher end players in WoW to do the dpsing.
